I've been looking at E-Cigs since about 2008, I remember when I found totally e-liquid and seeing all of their 510 and other builds. I also recall seeing cartridge rebuilds for BLU and other E-Cig using, blue aquarium foam for the materials. The other day I was pulling an all-nighter and refound E-Cig. Decided to start my journey with a mechanical mod, due to aesthetics, longevity, and just being mechanical. After browsing the forums and seeing various warnings I was cautious on building one up.
Bought myself a SIMPL clone, Derringer RDA, and a Samsung battery with the appropriate charger, coils, and wicks. I ordered some e-liquid supplies and got to craft my own e-liquid, today, after it arrived at the post. Running a dual coil setup, .5 ohms each coil, and it is absolutely beautiful.
I can smoke while playing online games without having to leave a game mid stride, learned that straight PG is a big rough on the hit and improved my formulas with a 70/30 mix.
I bought a pack of cigarettes this morning to due to lack of rolling tobacco, should be finishing them up relatively soon and going analog free. I don't think I'm going to save any money in the long run (minus healthcare), as I've been spending about 15 a month on tobacco and papers. But am looking forward to being able to taste food again, smell spring which is right on my doorstep, and be doing right on my health.
