I've ordered my very first PV from DietSmokes! It's the shiny chrome-looking 901 model, with 2 bottles of Janty flavoring, Chocolate and French Pipe.

I wish I had found this forum months ago! Researching my purchase here was fun and very, very helpful. Muchas kudos to all of you, I can't wait to start vaping!

Any opinion on how I did for a first purchase? I'm hoping I'll be happy with the flavors and the gadget itself, but I'm looking for other suggestions, too: anyone have an opinion on sweet but not fruity flavors, like vanilla or clove? And where/whom to buy from?

Welcome to ECF!! We're VERY glad you could be here! I'm also a fellow Oregonian by the way. I'm sure you'll be pleased with your unit! vaping for me has been a good thing. Since I started vaping, I've noticed alot of things coming back to me.

Smell
Taste
Stamina
Better Breathing

So on and so forth. Anyway, we all welcome you to the ECF, and we hope you enjoy your stay!

IMHO, I think you did great. DietSmokes was also my first PV supplier.

And while, I've not personally tried the 901 model. Most people seem to like it a lot.

Kudos on research well done, and nice choices. One word of advice(while it might seem like common sense) when your trying out new flavors, don't get greedy. Get smaller bottles of it and test it out. Unless of course, your looking to try and swap them.

I got a 901 (well, RN4075) a couple weeks ago and I love it. For the sweet flavors, I'd recommend grabbing some Red Bull (hate the drink, love the juice) and the RY4 is a fairly popular juice as well (has a caramel type of taste to me). Oh, and the watermelon that I tried (my brother had some from e-smokey-treats.com) is pretty awesome (tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher). I've found, in my short time, it's best to have one "main" juice you like to vape on, and couple of other different ones for variety. I like the TN Cured from Johnson Creek alot, and my backups are CashCap (which I you can't get anymore - but was told mixing Coffee and Chocolate would be pretty close) and Red Bull.

Welcome to vaping! Give it just a week, and you'll notice a big difference in how you feel (as well as your taste buds starting to change back, and your clothes no longer smelling like cigs).

Thanks for the warm welcome and the advice! I'll have to try the RY4 stuff, I had assumed it was a tobacco flavor and didn't give it a second look. I don't like the way tobacco tastes even as a smoker, heh.

I'm really looking forward to at least being able to cut down -- not going to jinx the "quitting" part by talking about it. I've tried many times to quit, but I just plain *like* to smoke -- I'm really hoping this will be my solution.

Cheers!
