Hi everyone! I'm new to posting here. I've been lurking for about a month now and am finally posting because I have a question. My hubby and I quit smoking on January 1 of this year. I have an Ego-C and some CE4/5 that I use for vaping and I really like it so far with my AiV juices. Like some folks, I first started with the Blu and it did the job until I got the better stuff. My hubby, on the other hand, likes the Blu and not my Ego. He says it makes too much vapor for him and he does little, tiny draws on it (which looks hysterical btw). Now, he likes the Blu and that's fine, but they aren't economical. He's only on his 2nd one of the month, but I don't want to spend $10 on a disposable ecig whenever it runs out. My question... what would you recommend for him to use? He likes the flavor of the Blu, but also likes the flavors I have... he just hates the amount of vapor they produce. is there anything comparable to a Blu that is more economical? Thanks everyone!!!

I second Starik's advice. He needs to raise the resitance (via the carto) and lower the voltage (via a variable-voltage mod such as the eGo-C Twist). Also, he may be better off vaping 100% PG e-liquids: they don't make quite as much vapor as blends or 100% VG e-liquids do.

+1 on the Twist.

If he's married to the cigarette look-alike form, Smokeless Image's Volt is a very good model.

Unfortunately, the SI Volt can't share the cartomizers you use without an adapter (which I believe you can get at SI as well). You only need one adapter to put on the end of the battery to screw in the cartos.

I'm pretty sure there are cig-alikes with 510 connectors, but I'm not familiar with any. Somebody will certainly chime in on that for you.

Umm I think a standard 510 battery would be better. It looks more like a cig and its output voltage is generally 3.0-3.2 so that with a standard resistance cartomizer (rather than atomizer(i find they are more on the flavor side rather than the vapor production side)) and the pg vg content i think he would be better of with and 80/20 mix.. 100% pg may be too strong if he is not used to pg. I find my friends would vape 50/50 mix no problem but then when they vape my 80/20 mix now then they cough so you have to be careful if you want to find that perfect mix with him.

I started with a blu cigs kit a while back and gave up on it. After getting into it recently and learned the battery works with cartos and such I started using it again with empty cartos that I fill myself. I like using it at bars and sporting events and stuff when carrying my vamo or ego is a little awkward. Good luck and keep with it, there is tons to learn :)

But PG has more throat hit. It's probably the throat hit that bothers him, not the visible amount of vapor.

Probably true. I should have asked if it was the amount of vapor or the heaviness of the vapor that bothered him. Blu's are 100% VG and are very light on the throat. That might be what he likes better.

I think it's johnson creek that makes the liquid for blue. Check out the Volt from smokless image. He can have his cig feel with that and his favotite liquids refilled in those smokless image cartomizers. This set up should give him what he gets from the blue but at a cheaper price tag. If its the throat hit that he doesnt like you can lower the nicotine level when you but liquids for him and that should help if he doesn't have nic fits with it being lower.
