Hey REOnauts,

I've been using regular 510s then eGo-T/carto tank until last year I upgraded to a Provari, trying different clearos/carto tanks.

1 month ago I bought a Reo grand. It was like a throwback to the original 510s when I started but upgrades you wished for was packaged in a box. Also being able to run any juice again was great.
Tried Cisco attys, boge cartos, REOmizer then got a Chalice I 2 weeks back. Pre-winding a coil on a 3/36 bit drill bit I read from here it makes it easy and produces perfect coils every time.
I think I've reached end game. I really want one of those shiny 18350 mods but there's no point lol :(

Congrats on your Grand purchase! We never tire of new Reonauts that are enjoying the best PV out there.

The VV Grand is nice for a change for me. But I still love all my other REO's. I am using the Reomizer and the A7's and loving the hit, flavor and vapor.

Glad you have found your happy place!

Gorgeous set-up!

I just received the same Chalice...does yours have the pointed screws, also?

P.S. and I think you will find " a point" sooner or later...we all do, Seems like just one isn't nearly enough!

Yep, I have the pointy screws with + rather than the ones I've seen in earlier batch. It made it almost impossible to do a vertical wick set-up with it. I set it up in "Z" style as it came with the help of the drillbit. Switching the cotton wick is simple and get it a bit fresh again. I'll post more pics of the wick when I set-up a new one.

So you're all right with the pointy screws? You're not worried about them falling somewhere and losing them? The reason i ask is because i've almost lost them a couple of times:facepalm:even tho i roll my coils on a tv tray padded with a white dish towel!

Well, I screw them in until they're not moving, if they're wiggling I rescrew them in, I don't take off the extra wire off until the screws are on there and the coil is good. I've learned my lesson when I lost a screw for my REOmizer but I ordered 2 to switch them out so I'm very careful not to lose them. I never got the REOmizers to work properly and ordered a Chalice :p then the drillbit changed everything. Chalice is still great because I can squonk and not worry about leaks or oversquonking.

I was actually holding off on fully verifying so I can hold off on the Classified section here :p

Oh yeah I take the screws off because it will definitely not stay. It makes it easier for me to fiddle with the coil when I'm fitting it in the posts.

Guess I'll just have to practice on being more careful...and find somewhere to buy a lot more of these screws:laugh:

Thanks for your input!

Hey REOnauts,
.....
I think I've reached end game. (

Yup. this is how I feel. I'm just not interested in anything but the REO. Now that I've got a VV Grand and reomizer, I'm just thinking I need a couple hornets or maybe someone will come out with another smaller rebuildable for my Minis. I'm not in a rush though as long as I can still get my fav carts for them. Other than that, I'm very satisfied. I won't say I wouldn't entertain more REOs. I said that before and it backfired. But I can't foresee anything else coming out that would stand up to the convenience, simplicity, and durability of a REO. For me, it's perfect.

As I have said on other threads- everyone needs to magnetize the little hex wrench or the screwdriver that you use for those little screws. This keeps you from dropping them when you unscrew them all the way. Just take a strong magnet and rub it on the tip of the driver 100 times or so and when you take the screws out, they won't fall but instead will stick to the driver!!

neon...I've exchanged a couple of emails with mark Bugs, told him i wanted a refund because WHEN i lose one or both screws the Chalice is inoperable, he offered either some more screws or a refund. I also asked him where i could buy my own, as the heads of the screws were a very strange configuration...I'm waiting on a response..meantime I'm happily vaping my chalice on a vv grand:D

It was sitting in its pretty box for more than a week cuz I was afraid of messing with the screws and losing one or both and considering sending it back.

I guess it doesn't bug me too much because I like taking the screws off and leaving them aside safely until I'm ready to screw them on after I have the coil all set. And coming from a REOmizer, the screws were an upgrade. However, when I would look at picture/videos of the first batch of Chalices, I really liked the screw designs of it and if it stayed in place when you have it unscrewed, I can see it being pretty awesome.

Yes, the first ones didn't have the pointed ends, they were blunt and an even diameter the whole length. I didn't worry about losing them so much because i didn't have to take them all the way out.
