Im not going to expect lots of replies to this, because its an intro thread, normally no one posts in response them. Thats alright though, Imma introduce myself anyway!

Im 21
Im in college for Human Development and Psychology and a minor in Womens and Gender Studies
I smoke between 10-15 cigarettes a day
I work full time with the mentally and physically disabled
I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin
I have an obsession with haunted houses, building them,acting in them, and helping people with Halloween related things (make up, costumes, etc.)
I will be attending graduate school next year

I tried one company before, and was disgusted with the quality I was sold. I am rejoining and giving it another go after a lot of research and am awaiting its arrival.

Haunted House scare the heck out of me. When I was in High School, I would work in the Jaycees Haunted House.... in the first scare.... that way I didn't have to go all the way thru it. Seriously!!!!! As my kids got a little older, they wanted to go to one so I had to take them..... OMGosh! I used my Son as a Human Shield, Really!!!! A couple of years ago my Daughter and I were at Universal Studios at the Dracula/Wolfman maze.... once again...... I am so embarrassed I sacrificed her!!! She was 17 but that Wolfman came out of no where and I threw her into him... Great Mom I am huh!!!!

So...what did you order ?

I ordered a Volcano Magma starter kit, and got two juices for it. I got 16mg Menthol, and 16mg Waikiki Watermelon.

Sadly, I must report that the juice doesnt have much flavor to me... its rather disappointing. It has a bit of flavor, but I would like a little more. Also, the throat hit is rather annoying. I smoked Marb Smooth 100's all the time and loved their smooth draw and everything.Its strange to have such a harsh hit now, not sure if Im a fan. Maybe Im allergic to PG? Who knows.

You would be surprised how often that happens! I love it when parents want me to play with their kids! They seem apprehensive to take them back after they toss em to me

Welcome Rory, a few menthol crystals and perhaps a bottle of watermelon flavoring
may be your friends if you need to step up the flavor on the 2 juices you have coming.
Just don't add too much extra to start.

It isn't a perfect science, we all go through at least a little trial and error,
be it juices or equipment or both.

There are a lot of good choices, bad too unfortunately.

Stick to it and enjoy the journey, and the more healthy life-style.

I dont mind at all! I tried a ZigCig, it wasnt too expensive, but I knew something was wrong when i opened the shipping box and it was full of popped popcorn. My stuff was amidst the corny cushions, and one battery didnt work, the other was tempermental, the carts were nasty nasty. I wasnt very happy Needless to say, it turned me off, and I am on my first full day of vaping again today!

Welcome! Stick with it and experiment with different juices. Some vendors (like EC Blends) will do double flavor for you if you need more flavor.

You can quit smoking, and I am glad to see you doing it at an early age. If ecigs were around when I was 21 I would have quit smoking then too!

Order some juices from ECBlend, every one I've had so far has been pretty spot on (other than the tobaccos, lol). Dirt cheap and taste great with minimal steeping.

The main reason I'm recommending ECBlend is because you can tweak what you get. If you want the 18mg nic, get it, but you're going to get more throat hit with a higher nic liquid. However, that may be what gets you off smokes, so bring the PG percentage down. Shoot for a 50/50 PG/VG blend. If throat hit is still too high, you know to up your VG. If you find yourself getting "sick" (headaches, general blah feeling), cut your nic level down to 12 and up the PG to compensate for some of the throat hit lost from the drop to 12mg nic (PG has more throat hit than VG).

The hardest part about this entire process is finding a juice that's right for you, believe me, so go a bit hog wild and spend a bit of money on samples at different PG/VG ratios and nic levels...at $2.50 a pop it's not that bad. Get a variety, things you wouldn't have thought you would like even, I've surprised myself a number of times. I'm vaping a strawberry cream type flavor right now (Dragon's Tear @ ECBlend) and I'm digging it...I HATE SWEET JUICES, and while this one is sweet it's not the gross sweet I've managed to get into a handful of times.

Oh, and if you don't already have one, get yourself a low resistance atomizer! Drip your flavors into it and vape them to decide if you like them before you fill a carto with them! There's nothing worse than filling a carto with a juice you can't stand to vape. For now a regular old LR 510 atty will do you. Dripping is a pain in the neck at first, just because every atomizer is different...after you get to know how many drops will vape well and how many drops will flood it, you'll be good to go.

And a new response instead of another edit. The magma kits seem to have a small, 510 threaded battery. The threading is great, but the battery is probably going to be a pain in the .... for you if you use it regularly, it just doesn't have a long life. I'm not sure whether you got the manual or automatic battery, but manuals definitely make life a bit easier.

When you're ready to step up, take a look at the KGO kit from Hoosier E-Cig Supply or Dark City Vapor:

You get two 1100mAh batteries which should last anybody who doesn't vape their face off a full day or more per charge, as well as: Hoosier - two LR 510 atomizers and 6 carts (NOT CARTOS, little dinky things that are best just thrown away), Dark City - 5 cartos of your choice and a drip tip. With the bigger batteries you also get a bit of flexibility with what you can use on them. You can get lower resistance cartos/attys (1.7ohm, 2ohm, some like the 1.5ohm dual coils) and as a result get a warmer, thicker vapor...which translates directly into better flavor and throat hit.

It's probably the most logical next step for you unless you decide you want to go the mod route for removable batteries or variable voltage.

In any case, use what works for you. You may have absolutely no problem with the kit you purchased, and if that's the case I'm happy for you...but the small batteries just didn't give me enough kick and vape time on a charge .
