Rambling 3am vape thoughts ahead:
First, it started with a trip to my hometown to visit my folks...my aging dad gets suckered in by a lot of online shopping deals and stuff and I guess bought some cigalike kit, in a charming attempt to quit the stinkies. Needless to say, it didn't work and on top of it, I don't know I'd he missed some fine print or something but they apparently kept sending him refill cartridges for months until he finally called them up to clear it all up. So there he was with this kit and boxes or carts just gathering dust so he asked if I wanted to try it out.
Ecigs were vaguely on my radar at the time and the idea of his money wasted just burned me up so I agreed to take them off his hands...alas, vapor was weak and having to recharge frequently was kind of a hassle, but the idea of staying off cigs was so novel to me. I got back home a week later and they caught the attention of my then-roommate who was a pack (sometimes two) a day kind of gal, and we ended up down the rabbit hole of researching other vape options together.
At some point we settled on going halfsies on a 7s kit, with multiple flavors. Saw lots of good reviews for em, and then were disappointed to find they weren't much different from kit I'd gotten from my Dad...
Eventually moving on to the ego-c's and ce4s with much annoyance...leaking, gurgling, finding the right flavors, steep times, finding the best nic level for me...I was having a hard time.
My roommate found much success with a vision spinner and protank combo and even got her ADV juice pretty much right off the bat. It got her to completely quit and she happily uses this combo even today.
Meanwhile, I was still struggling to find gear and juice that satisfied me...I actually took a break for quite a while because I started to sink a lot of $$$ on stuff I ended up tossing or giving away. And continued to smoke cigarettes, but only occasionally.
Fast forward to a year later...I moved to a new town and had to get a new job, I was actually able to curb my smoking urges with something else (not tobacco) but I needed to cut that out while I was job hunting, so cigs started to come back into the picture in a big way.
I wasn't liking how it made me feel and started to think I should start up vaping again. I figured tech had advanced and improved much since I'd last checked.
And boy, had it. I decided to dip my toes into the whole dripping thing cause I was scared to get back into clearos or tanks. So I got myself a Tugboat v2 clone and dusted off my old zmax mini.
That things changed my friggin' life. Vapor production, flavor, air flow...just wow. Then I decided to take the jump and get a subtank. My god, the protank is a joke compared to that thing. It's really amazing.
So there it is, those two pieces have totally turned me around on the whole vaping thing. The experience I'm having now had made me a lot happier and I'm extra glad I found this community with its wealth of information and shared experiences...
Now I'm waiting on all my old devices to die out so I can go and get my first boxmod...heh heh [emoji44]
