The problem lies with using dual coils. Try some smok Tech 1.7 or Boge 2.0 single coils. Not enuff power in the eGo to run DC properly BUT seeing as Boge and smok Tech are having quality control issues I'd stay away from them and purchase a Vivi Nova.

So, higher resistance will reduce the heat of the hit, will it also reduce the amount of vapor? I'm a bit confused since there is so little vapor right now and the carto appears to be fully saturated.

They/ DC are meant more for higher voltage PVs. Within 1 month of starting vaping I switched to ST 1.7 and haven't looked back. I now use the Vivi but still enjoy the occasional carto+ tank.

1.7 and 2.0 ohm cartos were made for eGo/ Kgo/ Riva, etc. You will notice a HUGE difference in the vape. Here's a review of the ST 1.7 but they're rebranded the Resurrector:

With ST XL 1.7 carto+ tank my cartos last before getting tight draw:
dark juice- 50-60 ml
light juice- 80-90 ml
I vape anywhere from 60/ 40 to 80/20 PG/ VG and punch my own holes- One hole 2.5 mm wide. Sometimes negative pressure can build up in the tank resulting in dry burns- equalize the pressure. Side screw tanks make this easy.

I haven't replaced them but I just got them 2 days ago. How long should a carto reasonably be able to last? A couple weeks?

Ok, that makes more sense. Looking into the 1.7 Resurrectors as you suggested. Thanks!

Hey guys, just a quick update. I got some of the Resurrector cartos as per the suggestion and I am incredibly satisfied so far. The difference with the single coil carto is night and day. I'm getting tons of vapor, good throat hit (but not too much like before) and great flavor. If things remain this way, this is the perfect setup I was looking for. Many thanks for all the advice!
