Mets- WOW. I really hope that you do get back to it, you're good. I like your style and your use of space/composition. I hear you on the lack of energy, and probably time too since you're just finishing school. I'm glad you have your space set up- that makes a huge difference too. Maybe just have a sketch pad with you when you're watching TV?
Mets: I understand the drop in inspiration/etc. I'm a writer. According to people who love me, I have talent. I just don't have the OOMPH to finish a lot of the projects I've started or the strength to submit the few finished things I have. As much as I love getting good feedback about my work, I wasn't fishing for compliments, welcome as they are. I just wanted to confirm that I really do have some talent. (It's one of the few things in my life that I have always had some confidence in, ya know?)
I know I should be doing something with it... And I get the most joy from it when I do special pieces for someone and it touches them or helps them in some way. That's why I've considered maybe teaching but that doesn't seem quite right either. I like doing portraits because that seems to be something special to people when I get it right. I just don't know how any of that translates into a career right now. Maybe it doesn't!
