fire button went mushy

So I have this sxk vapor flask clone that I love and use daily. The fire button used to have this over accentuated tactile "CLICK" that one day just went away. It still fires but the button is all mushy. I took the button assembly apart to see if there was any juice gunking up the switch but it looks pretty clear.

I did find out what the switch looks like and it's very similar looking to one of these: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/1-1825910-4/450-1653-ND/1632539

Are these known to just get mushy? I'm worried about it failing completely and would like to buy a replacement switch just in case.

I guess I'm just posting here to see if anyone has had experience with this, cuz I sure as hell don't know what I'm doing. I can solder and take this mod apart but other than that I'm clueless. Thanks.

They shouldn't get mushy. Ive probably got a thousand laying around here and they are all clicky. Save yourself a few bucks on shipping. Any electronics store should have them in stock.

i'm not familiar with the internals of the vapor flask but i do build mods... if you're able to take it apart and feel confident in your soldering skills, i'd say go for it!... just wait until it's broke just in case you do mess it up

I'm also not familiar with the specs of the vapor flask board and wiring, but if button in the link you posted is the same then there should be no problem taking out the mushy one and soldering in the new one.
