First 24 hrs using my new eGo-T

yesterday my eGo-T arrived and I went through few thanks and I need to talk about it and maybe get some help.

I'm new to vaping, just almost 3 weeks into it so bear it in mind.
I love how it looks, I've got the stainless steel color and it's awesome compared to my M401
the amount of vapor can be overhelming and the TH is rough if I draw for too long, OMFG this thing VAPES LIKE A DEVIL
I love the tank system, very convenient, no mess, last forever
the battery feels like it doesnt end and I love the manual button

I lot of good things about it but there's one thing that's bothering me about it and even with all the good things this can be a fail

I've heard a lot about the flavor loss with the eGo-T but I thought it wouldn't be a huge problem for me, being a noob and all....and my first e-cig was the M401, how can I get something that wouldn't please me?!
Well, turns out the lack of flavor is a big deal, I might be wrong and maybe I can do something about it but I still don't know so maybe someone can help with it

I don't get almost any taste at all, and to make it worst, I just get the after taste of vaping any juice I have, wich feels like a dry sensation in my mouth ( I'm not saying a dry hit although it may be it ) all juices has a dry taste with just a tiny bit of the flavor
I lose all the good taste in all my juices and vaping my Marlboro flavored juice almost made me throw up
This is really really bad, man I just hope it gets better but I just don't know if I'm doing something wrong, I don't know if it's the wicking or what
I'm really trying to like this thing because I don't want to go back to my M401 and it would be a shame, the eGo is really great but the lack of flavor with the T is really bad, sometimes I don't even want to vape because it tastes bad, it's not just a lack of flavor, this problem actually makes it taste bad
I'm not getting leaking like many ppl complain, at least not that I noticed until now, no juice leaking out of the atty anyway
maybe I"ll try and adjust the wick in my atty but I'm affraid I mess things up and make it worse and start to get leaking

Any help and ideas will be appreciated

and to think that I was actually going to order a super eGo kit (mega cone atty with carts) but the vendor strongly recommended the T for me so I saw a lot of reviews and ended up going with the eGo-T grrrrrr

I will do some follow ups to report how I'm going with it.

I have posted what I think it's part of the flavor problem I'm having with my T and I want to let people know how it's been going just in case someone stumble on this thread.
My throat is bad latelly and that's causing my taste and smell senses a mess, nothing tastes the same and smells are annoying me.
I haven't noticed this when I first got my eGo-T but after my night out saturday I've found that I'm having those problems.

Tonight I'm starting to taste things a little better, not just the vaping taste, everything started to taste better and smells aren't so bad anymore, I'm not recovered yet though.
I'm also starting to get a better taste out of my eGo-T , not a good flavor yet but it's getting better and I have to wait until my throat gets better to know if the T is a keeper.

Like everything using a new PV has a learning curve and I'm still learning about the T.
Hopefully I will start to like it because the tank system is really great aside the flavor problem, it's so convinient and easy to use and I think even though I don't get too much flavor it might be worth.

I can always get the normal mega cone atty and carts and use the tank when I feel like.
Well I guess what I'm trying to say is that the problem it's not as bad as I first thought it was and fingers crossed, after my throat is recovered and I get my senses back to normal I will like it better.

I'll make another update after the throat problem goes away

I've never used the eGo-T so don't have much to offer.
I do use the CE2 clearos and with them I have to go HEAVY with the flavoring.
Still the best way to take advantage of full flavor is to drip which is why I love my RN4081 attys.

I'm pretty sure you can still use Cartomizers, maybe you should give them a try.

Did you blow out the "primer" in them when you first got it? There was a ton of it in my first egoT atties, gross!

If you have thicker liquids with the tank you need to give it time to wick. I find with my all VG I get about 8 puffs then have to stop because it's too dry. It also seems to take a while to really get juice in the atty the first time you fill it after cleaning. Give it time to soak it in there.

Make sure you really pushed the cart all the way onto the atty. It should go all the way on, then twist it on snugly.

It helps if you suck through the mouthpiece when it's on to draw liquid into the atty. Give it a few hard draws then vape it in, then give it time to drink more fluid.

The ego tank's pretty good. It's not too much flavour loss to me when it works.

I've recently started using clearomisers with my ego and it's been pretty ace so far! Tastes almost like direct dripping and is just as convenient as the tanks are. It's an option for you that means you wont have to buy a whole new setup, just a carto/clearo.

I have it and compared to using cartomizers and atomizer, and atomizers and dripping being what I switched to instead of the tanks I can safely say for me atleast that the flavour really do suffer. It has a worse flavour and throathit compared to cartomizers and cartomizers have the same bad qualities compared to atomizers for me atleast. The ego-t was and still is my first ecig and when I ordered some cartomizers with some juice one time to try I never went back to the tanks. The leaking didnt happen for me either in the beginning and I thought other people were just unlucky but after a month or so it started leaking quite a bit for me aswell. The tank while being everything I want in theory doesnt really work yet for me.

yes I knew about the primer long before I've got my T and I did blow out all the primer I could before vaping, and it still had a lot of primer so I vape it out of my atty without inhaling
the primer is really gross, the first time I draw the vapor in the first atty I tried...oh man... it was awful
it took a while to get the primer taste to go away

even now the taste is the same, well, actually the lack of taste to be exact
I think the wicking on mine is consistent because every puff is exactly the same, even when I let it sit here for a long time and when I vape again is still the same, same vapor, same taste
I can even do repeatedly draws one after the other, all the same ....consistency is not an issue I think and that's why I don't think is a wicking problem
yesterday I tried to suck on it without firing the atty to pull the juice inside and the vapor was the same like every other

I think it's not me using it wrong because it doesn't change no matter how I vape
I was hoping that it's because it's new, I've just got it for 24 hrs but I think if this was the issue like atty break up and that kinda of thing, it would be the vapor production that would be affected not the taste but this thing produces a lot of vapor out of the box and I even think it can be too much for me if I draw for too long

I will hang on and see what happens, if this keeps like this I will need to get something else, a carto or a mega cone and carts

Something that worked for me or atleast I think it did was turning the tank around in the atty and drawing 3 rather hard dry puffs without firing the atty to get some juice in there. If that doesnt work it will work to drip like 3 drops on the atty then placing the tank back in and it will taste a bit more for a while but it never tasted much by just filling the tank and going on doing nothing but vaping im afraid. Its kinda hard to do something wrong aswell because well there really isnt much to it, pop in a tank and vape.

The taste will subside in the Ego-T attys after a while. You have to clean them and do a light toothpick scrape on the coil to loosen crusted juice. Then they return to like new. There's a certain amount of maintenance that seems difficult at first, but easy once you have done it once.

OTOH, Boge 510 cartos produce excellent taste and are easy to fill. When the taste dies, you toss it and open another. You can fill several cartos and put the silicone caps back on for a quick change while you are away from home. They screw right on to the Ego batt like the tank atty.

For the most part, I have used Halo Menthol Ice exclusively in my tanks. That vapes very well, TH flavor and vapor are good. Husband does tobacco flavors in his, and says they are good also. We use the Egos now mostly for going out in public, or for drip testing flavors with an atty. The Boge carto's are great on them also.

The juices are quite temperamental in the ego. They tend to work better with thinner clearer juices.

I stepped up to the REO, which is just easier for me on a daily basis, and they can handle any juice. But the ego will always be in my supplies, for the looks when I will be in a public setting. I hope you keep trying.

The Ego can be a good Vape when you find the right combo!

Muted flavor is a common complaint with the tanks. You can buy flavor drops to add to your tanks while filling them (I always have a bottle of TastyPuff's Chumpy Chocolate on hand for this reason) and some vendors will let you double up on the flavoring when you order juice from them.

Or, you could start getting into DIY and make your own, which is what I'm doing now. The quest for the perfect recipe is enormously fun, and with careful shopping DIY is way cheaper than buying pre-made.

May I make a suggestion before you invest in carto and attied and drip tips, I was having this same issue and I thpught it was the device as well. First after vaing for this shrot amount of time you are going to have taste bud issue my friend. It has happened to most of us here at the forum. I think I was almost a month into vaping when I suddenly could not taste a thing. Nada. I posted a thread on here and found out that it is just one of the things that happens when you quit analogs. Your taste buds will come back. Until then try rotating flavors or get maybe soem menthol flavors or get some menthol crystals and add a few drops to your present flavors. One thing I did was to order some juices with extra flavoring for a little while till my taste buds come back. Another thing drink lots and lots of water. VG and PG both will dry your system out and dehydrate you along with getting a very dry mouth. Try this and if this don't help then I would go ahead and get the atty's and /or carto's

I find that sometimes there is a break in period of about one day for the atty.
Also all attys seem to have their own character. Batteries also; of my two batteries, one draws easier than the other.
You may be experiencing a wicking problem with one particular atty, so try another one and see if that helps.
I blow out the atty on an almost daily basis now (after trying all kinds of cleaning methods) in at the tank end and out the battery end. Mop up the battery end, 2 or 3 dry burns and everything is good.

It is love-hate thing with my ego-t for me. Was so disappointed the first day i got it, awful taste, no vapor, no throat hit..fell in love with it after 2-3 days, taste is great, lots of vapor, no need for an analogs at all anymore. Then i started to hate it again 1 week later, when issues began. Tight draw, burned taste, leaking,..then i found Simple CJ's "simple" ego-T wick mode post (which i would highly recommend) , and i think a new adventure is ahead
In the end, i think it's a great device, but far from perfect.

yesterday I didn't have much time before I went out so I didn't reply to every single one instead I posted an answer to everyone here
I forgot to mention that I do make sure the tanks go all the way into the atty and I've gotta say it's hard, the tanks fit tightly and I have to really press hard

yeah I think buying a new set up will be such a waste, I still want to like this thing
I think I've found out why this flavour loss is so bad to me and I will post it here after I reply everyone

Ya want some more flavor? Slap a 510 1.5Ω dual coil carto on your eGo batt, then come back and let us know whatcha think.

I've read that the 510 DCC may 'take out' the switch. But I've yet to read about an actual failure. Been using the above set up for a week now with absolutely no issues and am enjoying flavor beyond the tank config.

I did watch an Holiday Inn Express commercial last night...

but I don't think it's my taste buds because I'm into vaping for almost 3 weeks and my fist pv is the M401 and I do get great flavours with it, the only problem is the vapor production but it did take me out of analogs for good as I never had another cigarette after my M401 arrived
so I know how my juices are suppost to taste like and on the eGo-T they taste so different

I love the eGo and it's a shame the tank has this problem
although I think I've found out why I'm having this taste problem and I will post in this thread

I'm using both attys and both batteries and I can say they work the same, no difference between attys or batts

I have yet to clean them and I still don't know how I should do this, but the dry burn method is kinda risky isn't it?
I know about peeps burning their attys doing this

Hey guys thank u all for your help and advices I'm still work on it so lets see what happens

Although I think I have found out at least part of this taste problem I'm having.
Latelly my throat is inflamed because of the weather here and the use of airconditioner and when that happens my taste and smell senses get all messed up
everything smell and taste weird for me
last night at the club I noticed all the smells was really annoying me, cigarettes everywhere and all that smoke was driving me crazy and the drinks was tasting really bad

so after the night out I came home and even in the car I could smell the cigarette smoke on my clothes, everything was stinking for me and I couldn't stand it ( I was almost sticking tissues into my nose to stop me from smelling anything ) lol

I think that's why my eGo-T is tasting bad for me right now and I haven't noticed that my senses was really sensitive because of my throat
I guess I didn't receive my eGo-T in the best time
Today when I woke up I came here to my pc and I took a puff and I coughed so much I had to stop vaping
damn I hope I get better soon

Even though I have a sore throat I know the flavors in the T is not the same as in my M401, seen to get more flavor with the M401

can't do anything for now but take care of my throat and see what happens after I get better
