Yup. I BOUGHT an e-cig in Vegas STRICTLY for the long flight home and the looong wait between checking through Customs and boarding the plane. (On the flight down there, I didn't have a clue that you couldn't go back out somewhere and have a cigarette. I'd only smoked maybe a QUARTER of my "first smoke of the morning' cigarette before getting in the limo. Figured I'd have had plenty of time to smoke my face off after we passed through the Security checks...shoulda seen ME when they gave me that smug little smile and a 'no, you certainly can NOT 'go anywhere for a CIGARETTE' reponse like I was asking for a location to shoot a puppy or something!!)

Anyhoo, bought a Smoking Everywhere version, (yeah, yeah, I KNOW..) so it wasn't like there was any vapor to worry about, (oooo nasty, nasty!!!), and did it in the washroom until the bloody battery died on me halfway though the flight...

BUT, SE got me where I am now....4 WEEKS YESTERDAY!! Wooo HOOOO!!

And, NO intentions of quitting smoking, just as a 'nic delivery method' between analogs. Maybe I should kiss that little snot at the airport that gave me that 'no place for YOU to indulge in your ADDICTION HERE Miss' the next time I'm at the airport!

On second thought...nah.

Radiokaos, I appreciate your vid's. My husband had a Waco UPF7 and has some great vid's from that. You are really having fun, you go boy!

I knew there was a reason why I liked you.

I love the Waco, and open cockpit. Tell your husband I'm looking at a Pitts 12. I have some friends in the air show business that use a Waco in their act.

YouTube - Franklin Airshow Video 2010

I love flying, its in my blood. I volunteer for Angel Flight, Pilots and Paws, and several blood banks. During the summer months I contract with Air Shows and airplane companies and get paid to have some fun.

Now Curtiss did a good job with that little number. Pretty is the only word, it is a pretty little plane. Heart beating.

I'm not the pilot, my husband is. 10 years Air Force (B-26, KB 50 Tanker, B 29, etc.) and then 25 years Eastern Airlines.

When I played you vid I got him out of his chair, came over to have a look/see. Makes you heart soar.

Tell him I'm flying a B-17 and B-25 for 3 weeks this summer. Maybe I will be able to grab some vaping footage.

I miss Eastern Airlines....I use to help out in the simulators down in Miami when I finished high school.

Really? He was based in Miami. Retired Capt. on the Air Bus 300 (??). Were you from Mia?

Lived in Miami back from 83-89. Worked right off Lejune, only did it for a year and a half. I worked the 727 simulators. Does your husband still fly for fun? If so I have plenty of friends in your neck of the woods. Tell him the "...... harness is secure and we have plenty of smoke oil on board". If I'm not pulling 3-5 G's I'm not having fun.

My winter job entails work with bomb squads and I fly commercial all the time and never get hassled for ejucie warez. I might get hassled after a swab but thats because I was playing with explosives the day before. In regards to vaping on commercial airplanes I never do it out in the open and do it very discreetly in the terminal. Never once have I been hassled using E Cigs.

No, he doesn't fly now (although he dreams about it). I just asked him about it and he said he would jump in a plane at a moments notice. He always said he couldn't believe they had actually paid him all those years to fly, he would have done it for free.

We ended up sailing (same thing in a way as flying). When he retired in 1986 we moved on board and traveled the seas. Great life. Now we're landlocked in western NC and love that too.

I know you guys ran into each other in Mia. Small world.

Good luck to you and have all the fun you can have.

If your hubby wants to go flying just send me a PM. I have 2 friends within 20 minutes of Franklin that will take him up.
