Hey guys,

Just had my first attempt at a 26g 4 strand twist coil. It's a 6 wrap build showing a 0.24 ohms. Just looking for some opinions before I fire it, I've checked for hot spots and its glowing beautifully. Is there too much cotton on there? Does it look right?

All opinions welcome, I'm just kinda chuffed because I've been trying to build a coil that I find easy to build and install and so far this is by far the easiest for me :) My stupidly big hands make making small coils a nightmare!

Cheers in advance :)

(Haven't decided on what juice I want to try first yet, hence the fact that it's dry!)

That's a regulated mod, so what you really have to verify is that the batteries you use can handle to power your mod might demand.
If it's sony vtc4 you are in good hands.
If it's protected icr, you got a problem

all about the amps, but yes those are 20 amp batteries continuous drain.... so as long as you dont go above 4.8volts or 96 watts on that build you wont strain your batteries. This site is a very good place to go when you start experimenting with the low end spectrum of sub-ohming.

That will work fine for calculating amp draw for unregulated devices. Use this one for VW mods.

Assuming the mod uses the batteries in series and the low voltage cutoff is 6.4V like a lot of series VW boxes, I'd suggest not exceeding 115W. You can go 150W on a fresh charge but the amp draw increases as the battery voltage decreases. Here's how it looks at 6.4V of battery input voltage.

Important to note that atomizer resistance has no bearing on battery current drain in a VW mod. Only the power setting and realtime battery voltage determine the amp draw from the batteries. You can adjust the atomizer resistance in this tool and notice the battery current drain will not change.
