First attempt at dry burning was a bust...

Ok so, I can't get a new coil for 2 1/2 more hours... Have no way to vape. Looked online about an hour ago for a video to show me how to dry burn, hoping it would buy me a few hours of use out of this old coil...

I've followed the directions in the video (by OutlawVaper) to a tee, with no luck. Literally killed my good battery and still can't get the coils to glow. It's obviously doing something because I can hear the noise, and the tank is heating up. Why after an hour is the coil still not glowing orange? Any advice?

"the tank is heating up"

That's the problem right there.

Not supposed to have the tank on to dry burn

You want to take the tank off (empty it first) so that it looks like the part in the middle of this pic (but leave it attached to your battery)

Then rinse and dry it as well as you can with paper towels. Pulse it for about 3-4 seconds at a time until it glows red. Let it cool for a moment, rinse and dry. Put it together, refill tank and GO.

Yay, taking the tank off got the coil to glow very quickly... But now it's reassembled and I can't get a draw off it. U_U I am so annoyed with this process. Can't wait until I can go get a new friggin' head setup. Already been without any nicotine for three hours and still have two more hours to go.........while dealing with a screaming child.

No. It wasn't doing anything. Tried about 20 pulls... Nothing at all. Gave up, tossed the coil, will go get the new ones in a few hours, and hope that this kid is nice to me in the meantime. Just glad I actually have money today, at least. Definitely don't have the willpower to go a day and a half without my fix lol.

After you dry burn the coil, the coil is dry.

After you reassemble, you need to give the coil time to get wet.

You can tilt the tank to wet the coil area.
Press the fire button and listen for the popping sound.

When reassembling you can also add a drop or 3 of liquid to the coil before putting the top on to prime it.

I'm quite familiar with priming the coil. Not the problem.

Edit: Ugh, gave it another shot anyway, and I'm actually able to get something... .... Horrible flavor right now but at least it'll hold me over for now. (It was the tilting thing that helped btw... I had already dropped oil on the coil and let it sit. Sorry for being a bit snappy. It's one of those signs that this really is an addiction... Lol... :/ And that I'm inherently kind of a jerk unless properly"medicated".)
