Hi everyone. This is my first post in this section of the forum so please be kind. :)

Today saw my first attempt at rebuilding a Kanger BDC, I followed the instructions below and did a pretty good job of it as far as the coils go. They work and give me a reading of 1.5 ohm which is what I was after and no shorting. I used silica wick. The problem is that it's not vaping very well and what is worse it is flooding. I do see that the little chimney/pin or whatever it's called that sits on top of the coil head is not perfectly straight and suspect it might have been damaged when I took it out.

Any advice for me?

could be your "chimney/pin" was damaged or it could be that you don't have enough cotton or its loose? Or maybe its the Silica Wick, i am not sure what the Kanger BDC if they use Japanese organic cotton in it originally and now you are using silica, the silica will wick differently, which you may be misinterpreting as "flooding". Just a thought, not exactly sure.
