So I received my kayfun clone today and decided to try building my first ever coil. I only have 32ga Kanthal at present (with 28ga on its way), so I built a coil with 6 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit. It registers 2.6 ohms on my istick. Is this too high for the kayfun? Someone mentioned elsewhere that it should go no higher than a 2.2 ohm build. I'll be trying various combos (triple twist wire, smaller bit w/ fewer wraps, etc.) but want to vape this tonight just to see what it can do. Any issues with running this at 2.6?

I just tried it and it gives a good cloud...flavor is a but muted unless I turn it all the way down to 3.6w/3.0v. I used a cotton bacon wick and may have used a bit too little. It's now registering as 2.5 ohms. I consider it a good learning experience, but I'm going to shoot for 1.8 ohms on my next build tomorrow night.

I've only got 32 as well. I've only had my KFLite for a couple weeks now and I was only rebuilding Protanks before.. I've had a 2.6 in it for like 5 days now and its doing good at 9.5-10w. Its also a 5/64 wrap.. I have 1.8s but the coils just seem like they're gonna be too small (i do micro/contact coils) but eh maybe I'll go try one before I go through the last of this tank..

I'm going 29ga next. Same resistance as 28 but heats a little quicker.. I've seen too many complain about their 10 wrap coils not heating quick enough so 29 should be a good balance between 28 and 30 (which heats a lot quicker).

EDIT: now that I think about it, you said only 6 wraps?? That got me in the 2.0-2.3 range on mine.. The 2.6 that's in here now was like 8 or 9 IIRC.. I was specifically trying to see how big I could go without going overboard with the resistance.
