Hi there

My friend recently switched from regular cigarettes to electronic one's and I tried it out and have decided that it's a little too amazing to just pass up, but I'm a very indecisive person and need a little help.

At the moment I'm mostly stuck on where to buy what all I need from, there's so many sites and starter kits it's hard to root out what are the possible cheap sellers. So all that I'm looking for is...

relatively long battery life (just a day or so, I'm not a heavy smoker at all)
a manual battery (it sounds like the best idea)
around the size of a 901 or 501, I would like around the size of a regular cigarette or a bit bigger, but it's not much of a problem (just not pen style)
cheapish cartridges/bottles of eliquid so that I can refill without worrying too much on if i'm going to run out.

If anyone here is aware of a starter kit, or a combination of all that is needed to start, that is under $100 it would be greatly appreciated if you could point me in the direction of a good supplier.

Also a simple question, if i'm not mistaken most suppliers have the same models (like dimensions and such) for eachother? I just would hate to order from two separate places to find out that whatever I got didn't work with the other product.

Thanks a ton!

Well, don't worry about the e-liquid so much. You can refill any cart with any e-liquid. It's more of a matter of finding a flavor you like than anything else.

I think that you will need to find a mod to get a battery that will last a day or so. They will be larger than the 510 or the 901 and not really look like an analog cig.

Battery life and whatnot are pretty subjective though. Most people say that a 510 battery lasts around 2 hours, but mine last much longer. I killed 2 batteries today at school (roughly 10 hours).

IMO, the best thing you can do is use your friend's e-cig for a little bit and see what you like/dislike about it vs. an analog. My friend who introduced me to the e-cigs has a Blu, which I used for about a half hour or so before deciding to use an e-cig. I found that the thing I was missing was throat hit, so I sought out a model with a better throat hit.

I would recommend the Joye 510, but unless you only vape on it once an hour, you will only get about 2 hours on a battery. To get the best performance, throat hit and long battery life (6-8 hours), as Elokin mentioned, you will need to step up to a premiere device also referred to as a mod. Prodigy, GG, LV1, Screwdriver, etc. Most of the experienced vapors have switched to a premiere device or made one.

Hey Saiden22:

Just wanted to give you some direct from China shopping sites. Shipping is high, you have to wait (up to a couple of weeks.) But the prices are very low. If you make a big enough order the shipping can balance out.

We all worry about it getting through customs (because of the ban),so not sure what is up with it at the moment. Or if orders are getting through easily as before. Maybe some other's who have recently ordered can let you know how it went. I have'nt heard anything lately?, so I'm just not sure as I have not ordered from overseas in quite a few months.

Just trying to be helpful if money is an object. :)

Is there actually a ban? Haven't heard anything lately.

Just received an order and no customs issues yet. Heaven Gifts is a great one stop shop for e-cigs and liquid. He'll soon get over the "gotta look like a cigarette" thing, like most of us did. The 510 comes in white, so that may be worth a try for starters. It's good to have a US supplier for a quick fix, but China is the place to go for low start up costs.

Um...money is always an object! I love to drive by the gas station and laugh as the price of a pack of cigarettes goes up and up!

Joye 510 with a PCC. I ordered my starter kit from InnoVapor. I like them cuz they check all their product & even charge your batterys before shipping. Plus I LOVE the EcoPure- prices aren't bad especially if you use their coupons found in the suppliers forum!

clinneer,

did you know that cignot has ecopure, and no delays in shipping. They can get you the above for $60 shipped. I ordered my first one from innovapor (they are awesome), and got it all, but I have heard they have run into some delays with shipping, etc. Plus, I paid a lot more than $60

vapordad,

I've just started looking into other Ecopure suppliers. I ordered the couples starter kit & extra liquid (30ml) from InnoVapor for just under $180. I mainly went with them cuz of the feed back I read on this forum. I like that they check their stuff before shipping. I've also just completed a starter kit for my daughter. Price was easily comparable to a few of the China suppliers I looked at, especially once the shipping was added. Can't beat their prices on ejuice tho. If you buy in bulk you can get the price down to maybe under $4/30ml. I've had not one problem with IV on shipping- but I'm also willing to wait 5-7 days for an order. I also have gotten great customer service from them. No complaints from me.

I have no complaints from the either. Noah and Mark are great guys. Cignot happens to be a couple towns over from me. Vicky and Terri also check all their stuff. It was a coincidence that they carry the same stuff (or maybe not, as they both carry the best in my opinion), so they did their research separately and came to similar conclusions.

I have seen many folks unhappy with the wait and lack of response from Mark and Noah since about mid July. I have tried to contact Noah about it and haven't gotten a response. Trust me, a lot of my stuff came from them, and I highly rec'd them quite a bit.

anyway, glad you are happy.

just giving you an alternative. always good to know where other suppliers of stuff we want are.

Well I do understand what you are saying. And I understand we do what we have to do financially. But...., just like I have to have my Best Foods Mayonaise, I have to have my Screwdriver and my Dura-C. Sure I have ordered and will again from China (attys for my Screwdriver.) But, I also realize when I make a purchase state side it is helping to feed and clothe a family here in the US. When I bought my 2 Screwdrivers no one here was even offering something so economical. I still believe that the Screwdriver is viable today. I thank Trog for filling a need and doing it so beautifully.

I also try to buy organic food when I can. I know by doing so, I am sending a message to the farmer's I prefer to feed myself food that has no pesticides or antibotics in it.

I hope one day our food is antibotic and pesticide free. And we are not worried about our beloved PV's being taken away anymore. I can hope can't I?

I like the idea of getting one of the starter kits from cignot, preferably the $65 one.

My only concern is where would be a good place to get spare batteries/atomizers/carts/liquid now, it seems from there would be fine but I'd like to be able to refill my own carts with different tastes of liquids to figure out what I like most. Thanks for the help though, this looks like a great site.
