Geoff, is your almond flavor like almond extract flavor?
just to answer this--based on what i got, yes. the almond pastry mix is lighter than straight almond extract (obviously, lol)--the almond is about as intense as say, in a good rich homemade almond poundcake. the sweetness is more like the glaze on a perfectly flaky puff pastry. and the creaminess... well, i'll just stop here because i'm starting to sound a little obsessive even to myself.
