First day in the forums. Hello everybody

I was a smoker for 22 years and have been wanting to quit. It has taken a while and a bunch of research but I have finally made the switch. My sinuses and lungs are very happy for it!

I have an Innokin SVD with a Kanger Protank II and it came with some iClear 30's. I really like my Kanger and am going to start making my own replacement wicks and coils. Riptripper has some great videos on You Tube and it is going to be hella cheap to do myself.

Problem with my iClear 30 - I keep getting juice in the tip and on top of the atomizer. It will start to gurgle a bit after 10 hits or less. Any ideas how I can stop this? I have tried adjusting voltage and power. It is a 2.1 ohm tank and I have the voltage set at 3.4 V and Power set at 6.5. Love the tank when it is first hitting but it seems to get a lot harder after a couple hits :(.

Oh. What is the proper way to vape? I hear about priming and there seems to be a method that works best for getting really good hits. I really want to tape instead of smoke. I won't be quitting for a while. I enjoy the nicotine and will need something to transition from cigarettes completely. Maybe quit someday completely but will vape for now.

Any definitive news on the health effects of vaping? Links to articles would be appreciated.

Congrats on making the switch and welcome to the forum :toast:

Nice bit of kit, that SVD - you'll be very happy with it. Personally, I never warmed up to the top coil clearo like the first gen iClears, so my :2c: would be to stick with the Protank. If you're up to rebuilding the coils for it, you'll get some very nice vaping out of it (please do your research about techniques and safety before attempting rebuiding).

Of course, once you do go down the rebuilding route, it's only a hop, skip, and a jump to something like a nice genesis or kayfun RBA tank - the usual end states for the coil hobbyist.

Happy vaping.

The first time you use a new atomizer head, you want to prime it by dripping just a couple of drops directly on to the coil to saturate it. That will keep you fom getting dry, burnt hits. Welcome to ECF & congrats on making the switch! :toast:
