Well let me start by, Ive been smoking tobacco for over 40 yrs. Luckily no health problems except for lungs that are black on the inside. Ive tried everything you can think of to quit without any luck... Today was my day to start a new lead on life. I received my V2 starter kit today and so far Im really impressed. I knew it wasnt going to arrive till this afternoon so this morning I went to the local smoke shop and bought a dispossible just so I could get an idea... I purchased the Square 82. After a couple puffs I said to myself this is a joke. Tasted alright, but no throat hit and very little vapor at all. The V2 didnt dissapoint. It has a great taste, V2 red 1.2. It has a good throat hit and enough vapor to blow smoke rings. And this is with the auto battery. The square was a manual and didnt even compare. I think Im gonna purchase the manual battery real soon just to see the difference, I heard you can get a better vapor hit with the manual. Hopfully this will be my way to get away from all the nasty stuff of a real cig....... E-Cigs thank you....

Hey man grats on quitting, it may be a hard road ahead but it is worth it! I like my auto batteries on my 510, when I feel like smoking a cig sized device I want it to be as close to a cig as possible, meaning no button. Yea I cant drip with my auto batteries but thats what my VV mod is for. Good luck with vapin, you'll learn everything you need from the fine people on this site.

Welcome Filibuster! I'm the next town over from you so if you need anything give me a holler. It's strange because I never read posts in the New Member section and haven't been on ECF much lately but I clicked on your thread and noticed that you're my neighbor. LOL In a forum this big that's really odd and especially since I haven't met anyone else from our neighborhood here!

Don't worry if you keep smoking for awhile. Some can change over right away and some it takes a bit. Soon you'll want the e-cig more than a cigarette and you may even forget to smoke. When I first started I told myself that I could have a cigarette any time I wanted, since I was unable to quit in the past also, but I had to take 5 puffs off of my e-cig first. That's all it took for the urge to leave and for me to forget about wanting a cigarette.

Im new here too. i have a terrible smoking habit. i dont know if i can even quit i wonder what kind of e cigs are good ones

ANY ecig that you enjoy enough to get you off of analog cigs is a good one. Take a quick search through the forums, you'll start to read the same names/types over and over that most people prefer. Me, i went with Smokeless Image's Volt starter kit, and i'm really loving it. Haven't smoked an analog since my first day vaping

jgay, I smoked over 2 packs a day for over 40 years! If I can switch to e-cigs anyone can. It so much different than any of the stop-smoking aids that don't work and I've tried them all. E-cigs are an alternative to smoking and allows each of us to control our nicotine intake. Some reduce it over time until they're vaping 0 nicotine and some, like me aren't as concerned about the nicotine because of the benefits, like pain relief for me. Nicotine isn't the bad stuff in cigarettes, it's the other 4000 chemicals sucked into our lungs.

Congrats! I started with the V2 kit as well. It worked really well for me. If sticking with the V2, save a little $$ and order their Red eJuice (their juice is pricey at $18.95/25ml) but still way cheaper than single use of the pre-filled cartomizers they sell. You can refill the V2 cartos a bunch of times, just try not to let them ever get empty (the filler material will get a burnt taste that doesn't go away). I like their Red flavor (still have a bottle of 18mg Red juice I go back to every now and again)

I am a newbie to vaping, just started a week ago with Mistic brand from Wal Mart but am getting frustrated. What I like about Mistic: fantastically smooth, high quality tobacco flavor in pre-filled cartridges. Delivers nice throat and chest hit on a fresh charge. Can easily be purchased locally. What I do NOT like about Mistic: Cartridges too pricey compared to many other brands online, battery life is entirely too short for me, they are bulky and clumsy, larger in diameter than an actual cigarette. I realize these things have gadgets inside but I would prefer a slimmer stick. Also, I read on this forum that Mistic cartridges are easily refillable, though I have no clue how to do that. I am willing to learn if I must to suit my needs but prefer my habit very handy; especially at this point. I’m fragile. An actual fire stick is only a store away.

My smoking preferences: I was a heavy smoker before I began vaping last week. I need and enjoy a heavy throat and chest hit. I cannot be recharging the battery every 4-5 hours as right now with Mistic. I need a battery that will live for (hopefully) 10-12 hours at least. Yes, I want it all. I may be asking too much. I have no idea as brand sites are flooding my now smokeless head with a cacophony of reasons why their e-cigs are “the best in the world”. The only way I can really know is by asking experienced vapers to be so kind as to please share info and suggestions that may suit my needs rather economically. Also, since I am in USA and my fix is of utmost importance I would prefer not deal with China. I would rather not wait a month (or never) for my fix to arrive. However, if several of you have had great results with an overseas company for quite some time I may be willing to consider that option. Meanwhile, I will gratefully appreciate any help you have to offer. Heavy hitter here who needs a battery that stays alive, lots of vapor to fill my hungry lungs, and it needs to taste good. No need for ice cream or exotic rose flavor, I’m good with a high quality regular tobacco. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please help? Thank you. (By the way, I really do enjoy my new way of fixing through vapor!) :vapor:

I have only used the cig sized models myself (I like the Volt from Smokeless Image) but if your wanting longer battery live you will need to step up to a larger model. The cig sized ones are truly limited by their size.
