Picked up a joyetech ego-c this morning and really like it. Totally different experience compared to the cheapo gas station e-cigs. Went to DFW Vapor in Lewisville and they are really helpful. Explained how to use it/put it together and filled up the 5 cartridges with samples. Really like the US Menthol and the Strawberry, just tried the Cherry Cola right now and it is good, got to get the rest of the Menthol out of the atomizer first. Might look at getting a stardust later on, and definitely going to get a bottle of the Menthol. Have a Vanilla Menthol and Juicy fruit to try out still.

Suppose it is important to mention I was a pack a day to pack and a half a day smoker for 6 years so I am using the 18mg liquid right now. I plan on cutting down gradually to 0mg content and if I feel inclined quit vaping all-together, which I am unsure of. It's nice getting to sit in my bedroom and vape away without anyone yelling about smell. I used to go out for a walk/drive to smoke the ciggies. Happy vaping everyone!

Yeah the hydrating thing is what will take some getting used to. Never was one to carry around a water bottle with me but it will take some getting used to. It is awesome to have an actual store I can go to and buy liquids rather than having to order online. DFW Vapor actually has several locations, one is maybe 5-10 minutes from my house.

It's still amazing the vapor production of a quality e-cig compared to the cheapo gas station ones, I was a little skeptical at first but this was money well spent. I will say I finished off the pack of cigs I had, never liked the idea of throwing a pack away and couldn't wait for them to be gone to start vapin!

Been doing tons of reading the past couple days, was a toss-up between the ecab and ego-c. After reading the ecab was a little lackluster in vapor production and flavor I decided to go with the ego, great decision imo.

good luck. hydrate, and read these threads

"If you vape, you must hydrate".

Puff, puff, SIP. It will help your body transition to vaping more easily and allow you taste more flavor. Plus, it helps you detox all the extra "goodies" you were getting from burning tobacco.

akatina after seeing your sig, I figure my break even date will be a week from today. PAD habit for me equals about $45 a week plus the gas money. So $75 for the ego is about dead-even with what my smoking habit was.

I was thinking of getting a hard carry case but decided to use one of my old hard glasses cases. Seems to be just perfect. Quick question regarding leaving it in my car during the day. Does anybody know if heat will possibly cause it to leak? I won't be leaving it in my car during the summer and fall when the Texas heat is in full-swing but for now I am planning to leave it in my car when I'm at work. Did this with my cigarettes and lighter even during the summer and not once did a lighter explode.

I've gone up to the Lewisville store for DFW vapor and it's a great place to go for any supplies. One of the best in the metroplex that I've been to. Personally, I would avoid the Stardusts as I have had several now and they leak horribly. The last two I got are actually burning the juice that I'm using now and it makes it difficult to vape on. Luckily, I did pick up a carto-tank and that has worked far better than the stardusts as I felt like I was constantly refilling them where I don't have to refill them except once a day at the most.

And you did pick out a good place to pick up your supplies at. They have a very helpful staff and a very wide assortment of flavors to use and try out.

I don't know if I should say "congratulations" or "courage" on your first day, so I wish you both. I hope you enjoy vaping as much as I do. I used to smoke and I loved it, the smell, taste, the ritual, the relaxation, the break. I vaped at first to quell cigarette cravings, but now I just love, love, love the habit, so much more than I ever liked smoking. Love the flavors, the forums, the video reviews, all of it. After quitting cigs in late November, and vaping 18 mg. from that time on, I've just reduced the nic in my new juice orders to 12 mg. I don't notice the difference, and may eventually phase out the nicotine, but I doubt I'll ever stop vaping the flavors. I can only hope you'll enjoy vaping that much too.

Congratulations! Quitting cigs is awesome! I would never have been able to do it after 20+ years if I had not found vaping. Just stick it your head that you are a vaper, not a smoker.

Also consider that you might as well burn twenty dollar bills since what you bought with that $45 a week was something you set on fire. Weird isn't it? That we would pay so much money for something then turn around and burn it and then throw what's left away?

The thing that struck me the most was how much cleaner everything was! No more icky ashtrays or smelly cigarette butts. I didn't know how stinky all that stuff was until I had been vaping for a few days.

Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions as you start your journey. There are tons of people here to help and support you! Keep on vaping!

So 5 hours in and went fishing this afternoon, vaped on the way to and from and haven't had a single craving. This is going to do it for me, I agree with y'all all the flavors to try makes me wanna buy all of 'em. Read somewhere on here where someone commented it's like Pokemon "Gotta' have 'em all!" and it's true lol. Tomorrow going to have to get me a bottle of juice even though what I got sample wise should hold me for a few days. The only real thing I'm noticing so far is my chest gets a little tight some times and I start coughing. Get some gunk up so I'm guessing it's just the garbage from the cancer sticks.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody! :D

Hi Razor,
Congrats on your first day and Welcome to ECF! Glad you had a nice B&M to go to. I was a PAD too and I started at 18 mg for about two months I'm now at 12mg .. Hoping to get down to 6 within three months and one day down to zero but no pressure on myself and just enjoying vaping and the many yummy flavors out there. Gl and keep vaping! :)
