First Day Vaping and Initial Impressions

Hello, I have been checking out this forum all week and got my first real e-cig today. Let me fill you in on a brief history.

I started smoking about 15 years ago. I am smoking over a pack a day, sometimes up to 3 packs when i go out drinking. I tried quitting with patches (didnt work so well, no fun and unenjoyable) and Chantix. Chantix made me feel like a raging zombie, but i was able to quit for about 6 months, but I later went back to smoking. A year ago, I got an e-cig from one of those online scams where they auto-enroll you into there cartridge program. The product was a joke, and I quickly returned it.

Fast forward to last weekend. I visited my home town of Cleveland, Ohio and met up with a few friends. My long time buddy was vaping on a TW Tornado Tank. I kind of said they were a load of crap and not to waste his time. He just siad, "Here try this one. Take a 5 second hit on it." and handed it to me. I did what he said, and nearly choked from being caught off gaurd at how well it hit and how closely it resembled the consistency of an analog cigarette. "Holy ....!" was all i could say.

So for the past week I have been talking with him and sifting trhough forums to learn as much as I could. I was set on a TW Tornado Tank as well, but they ended their sale, mid-week, before i got paid. Well I found a great shop online called PureSmoker.com which is based out of Nashville, where I live. They stocked the Ego-T's which are the same thing as the Tornados. So I emailed them and asked about local pickups, which they were happy to provide.

I skipped out of work early at 4:00 to catch them while they were still open, and drove 35 minutes to pick this new product up. After talking with the employee, and picking out an apple flavor e-juice, i was on my way home. If anyone is in Nashville you know how bad the traffic is. I plugged the battery of my kit into my usb port of my car and let it start to charge. I know your not supposed to use these without a full charge, but curiosity got the best of me, and I started vaping off my other e-cig. There was a 6 ml sample of berry flavor that came with the kit.

I'll tell you honestly there are about 3 memorable times in my smoking history that I will never forget. The first being the first time I smoked, which was not the pleasant, but felt cool. The second being when I had my first menthol, which was like a cigarette with a whole lot more to it. And the thrid being my ride home with me new Ego-T.

After my very first vape up to the present, I have been plastered with a grin, knowing that this is one of the greatest inventions to mankind. I feel completly confident that I will never need to smoke another cigarette again. This product is amazing, simply put. I am so happy to have found this product. I have 5 or 6 Marlboro 72's left in my pack, and I dont know if I will get around to smoking them. Hopefully the gimick and newness of this E-cig doesnt wear off.

For anyone thinking about switching let me honestly tell you that I LOVE smoking. I truely love it. But vaping just seduced me and I'm dropping cigarettes like an expensive ex-girlfriend. If you are skeptical, all I can say is find someone who vapes a quality product and ask to try it, you'll see what im talking about. Please dont make the mistake I made and try a gas station e-cig or a mall kiosk vendor. You will be disappointed.

Well I'll keep you all updated on my progress. Take care all!

Welcome bflauto. When you said "Hopefully the gimick and newness of this E-cig doesnt wear off" I really had to laugh. :) Once you really embrace the ecig world, your life will never be the same and the newness will never wear off because if you are like most of us, we have to order everything we see. So there is always going to be something "new" in your mailbox and if you are like me, you'll feel like a kid at Christmas.

Welcome, and congratulations! Great story.

I get the feeling that shop in Nashville with the liquid will be getting a lot of visits from you!

That is so true! I had absolutely no idea I would get so enamored with pretty batteries. Nor that I'd want to try every flavor possible. I guess I wasn't expecting it to be fun, nor that I'd be so excited about it.

I think my mailman thinks I have a crush on him.

Nice story bflauto..... I to love/loved to smoke and when I first dove down into the rabbit hole it was with the intent to quit all-together. That is not happening anytime soon for me. I knew starting out this wild ride soon would take one of two shapes one being going back to analogs and the other becoming a pretty hard core vapor. That was in the middle of may this year. Now after an 808 kit to start I have an Inferno, megalodon, an epipemod thors hammer, and now a Vmod BF in the mail. Life is so much better with out them damn coffin nails....

Welcome to the Rabbit Hole....

I think pets know best...blow smoke at them and they run away...blow vape and they just sit there:)

lol , i noticed my cat did the same thing. He usually sits on my couch with me when I get home from work and as soon as I used to light up an analog he'd take off. When I started vaping he didn't seem to mind at all.

WELCOME and glad that you took the time to share your success story. I had the same experienced. Got scammed by a ecig I bought at the mall. Came here and bought myself an ego-t type b. The rest was history and I still say this. The ego-t is by far one of the most underrated pv's on the market.

It performs like a champ if you know how to maintain it. Don't forget to check out the ego threads if you ever run into problems. There's a LOT of info on how to deal with issues that it might have in the future.
