Got a maxi rough stack from Madvapes with 18650 batterry and ad-103 multi volt charger.Been vaping with Ego clone 900 mah batteries previous. Also got some dual coil cartos with it.Awesome mod so far but have a few questions. How long should this battery take to charge.I charged it overnight and it still had red light on charger in the morning. It died on me late afternoon after heavily vaping all day. Also the dual coils dont seem to be giving the heavy amounts of vapor everyone seems to be getting with these. The vapor on my ego batteriies and LR cartos seems alot more.Any recomendations?

I also have the Maxi RoughStack with 2400mah 18650's and it took a long time to get them fully charged the first time. I got concerned that the charger was busted but the green light eventually came on. They now charge in about 3 hours - I switch a used one for a fresh one on the charger before going to sleep each night.

I have the smaller Roughstack with the 18350s. I'm loving it with some LR306 attys. I wasn't terribly impressed with the dual coil cartos, but I'm not a carto kind of guy.

I've heard emery cloth or superfine steel wool can help polish up your Roughstack but I haven't tried it. You might want to check out the MadVapes subforum; there's a few threads in there on the RoughStack.

Lovin my maxi RS. Had it for little over a month. I have the cheap ultrafire 18650, which is better than the cheaper trustfire. Need to just pony up for the AW and be done with it. It didn't take but an hour or so for my 2400 mah batt. to charge up.

If you got the dualies at Madvapes I have to say that I have been less than thrilled with them also. I also purchased some boge 2.0 and am very disappointed in them. Had been getting the Boge 2.0 at vaporkings and the difference between the 2 is like night and day. Don't know if all boges come from the same factory or not but will be going back to vaporkings in the future. They also have the dualies so I will try the ones they have. Hoosierecigsupply has dualies at 1.25 ohms and may have to check those out'

I actually cleaned my maxi up yesterday with windex and it did an OK job, I would imagine that any aluminum/metal type cleaner would shine that puppy up.

Super fine emery cloth cleans it up very well. And you want to get a bottle of Noalox for the threads, (small drop will do) once a week.
Maxi-RS is my go to PV :) I like 3.7v vaping the best, tried higher V but too hot for me. YMMV

I've been using white lithium grease in lieu of noalox. We use it at work on elec. contacts that need lubed. Way cheaper than noalox and is very slippery and smooth.

I've been hitting it at 3.7 also because 6 is just a tad hot and 7.4 is insane. Madvapes is working on getting the 5 volt batts soon and I can't wait for that.

.......Also the dual coils dont seem to be giving the heavy amounts of vapor everyone seems to be getting with these..........

Since the duel coils spread the heat out over a much larger surface area, they're efficient at producing vapor at lower temperatures. Great for folks like me because that's right down my alley. However, lots of folks like their vapor pretty warm. For that, you need to hit them with a higher voltage. Slide the transport out to about 14:30 and start this video and you get to see the coils in action. YouTube - A PBusardo Review : Boge 510 LR Carto Vs. Smok Tech 510 LR Dual Coil Mega Carto

been eyeballing the MRS for a while now. 5v battery option is available as of today! only problem is that they do not yet have a charger in stock that will support the new battery pack. (actually 4.8v 1/3aa battery pack as opposed to a single battery). Guess I will hang in there another couple or few weeks for them to have a proper charger. Tried a friend's MRS at 6.0v and much better than 3.7 but a bit too hot so maybe 5v will be what I am looking for.

BTW does anyone know what i can polish up the stack with to make it nice n shiny?

Goto Walmart, Target, or Walgreens and get Brasso or pretty much any silver polish. Use VERY little of it in a microfiber clothe. Usually the best deal on those is the ones in the auto department, which aside from labels, are the same brands and makes that they sell in the same stores for a few $ more. Use one to polish with the compound and one to clean-up and polish away any residue. -Magnus

"spots" makes me think maybe they are "clear annodized" for durability. if this is the case they will need a thorough sanding with 400.600.1000 grits of wet/dry sandpaper to remove the annodizing then can be polished mirror bright with any good aluminum polish. Hopefully ordering mine this week in the "tumbled" finish as don't really want something too shiny.
