I've been vaping for almost 2 months now and i'm ready for a little better quality vaping experience. My starter pv was the Ego passthru, I decided on this for 2 reasons...1. price and 2. I'm at my computer for a good portion of the day. Unfortunately I want more than i'm getting from my Ego, so i've decided to go with the Maxi Rough Stack and what I wanted to know was what combination of batteries will I need to vape at 5v, on madvapes site they tell you what batts you need to vape at 3.7v, 6v, and 7.4v. Now I don't think i'll be vaping at 7.4, but the other 3 voltages seem right up my alley(i think). Any and all help will be gratefully appreciated:)

There are no 5v batteries really. 5v mods typically use two 3.7v batteries and have an output regulated at 5v. The Roughstack does not have a regulated output. The closest thing, and there are some disadvantages, is the custom NiMh batteries that a few vendors sell. These are a stack of 4 small NiMh batteries which output 4.8v nominal. They are available in an 18650 form factor, which should fit in the bigger Roughstack.

The disadvantages are they are relatively low capacity, and they need a special charger, and are quite slow to charge fully. You CANNOT charge these with a lithium battery charger. Here is one seller of these batteries and charger - 5 Volt NIMH 600mAh Battery for The Meglodon
