First DIY: 3 successes, 1 questionable

Finally got all of my supplies. First order consisted of a whopping 12 flavors from ecigexpress, but I stupidly only purchased 6 glass bottles to mix flavors. So I gave a few of the simple ones a shot. I steeped using the hot water bath several times.

RY4 Double, Signature
80/20 at 2% is fantastic! I can't stop! Very sweet, slight fresh tobacco taste, and nice caramel finish.

Honey Wood tobacco, Flavor West
75/25 at 1.3%. It has a little bit of a bite to it, but I like it. Not an all day vape. It has a kind of citrus finish.

Virginia Fire Cured, Flavor West
Same ratio as above. Full bodied tobacco taste to me. It tastes like you'd expect if you licked a cigarette, but no funky after taste.

Now here's the questionable one... Horchata, Capella.
80/20 at an unknown percent. lol I started with 10% at 10ml, steeped, and it was way too harsh. So I doubled the base hoping to bring the flavor down a notch. I had some trouble with my VG/PG and screwed it all up, so that left me with this weird bland milk with pepper and cinnamon. So I added about 3% Honey, FlavourArt to the now 30mls of crap I had. It tastes better, but I'm not confident. We'll see what happens after steeping again. I hate waste. Gotta try and salvage it. You never know what you might come up with accidentally. :)

The lesson I learned today: don't trust your tastebuds after you've been through taste testing several flavors for over an hour straight. I got frustrated and gave it up for a bit only to go back a few hours after and realize they taste nothing like I thought they did! Happy mixing!
