first experience with a mesh wick in a ego-c standard resistance atomizer.

Very positive! I cut the 325 stainless steel mesh into 3/4 inch squares, noticed it was too big and trimmed to the length of the original wick, rolled it up, torched it until it glowed 2-3 times then threw it in the Eroll and started vaping. Better taste and more vapor!

When I oxidized it created an ashy coating which I expected. Has anyone identified what that is and whether it's safe to inhale? Did I do anything wrong in my process?

The only thing I might add is a 2 or 3 juice burns prior to installing the wick ...

I burned through the remainder of liquid in my tank and decided to inspect the battery. It doesn't appear to have flooded

My goodness... That's good vapor. It leaves nothing to be desired. Just solid plumes on a tiny Eroll.
