I seem to be the opposite of the majority here. I never had a sore throat, and I vape far less than I smoked (I'm using 6 mg, I think I'd die at 36 mg!) I take a few drags a few times an hour, but can go hours without it. Maybe because I only smoked a 1/2 pack of day of Camel Turkish Silvers, and despised strong cigs like reds (of any brand). I will go up to a slightly higher nic level with my next order of cartomizers, but I *could* stay at the 6 mg and be ok. I just want something a little higher as these aren't completely satisfying my cravings, but I'm regulating myself enough to not burn through the cartos I have now.

I would suggest getting a test for strep, but it could also just be some virus causing a sore throat. I'll put it this way: I got contacts for the first time a couple months ago. Second day of wearing them, I get horrible pain in my eye. Had a corneal infection. I initially blamed it on the contacts, but the eye doc said it was coincidence, as the wind was bad at the time and likely something just blew in my eye. You very well could have a medical reason for the sore throat. Don't blame it on the e-cig just yet. :)

My daughter and I both had sore throats the first couple of days vaping...and I mean REALLY SORE and I was getting those little white things chunking off my throat..eww! And my ears were bothering me a lot, those all passed in about a week....3 weeks later, I can hear better than I have in years. I didn't even realize I had any hearing loss, now I can actually hear my refrigerator running and little things I've never noticed before. From what I've read, sore throats are also a side effect from quitting smoking....
