I just rebuilt my first pt3 coil and im having some issues.

1. Ohms are high (5.5)
2. Flooding (cotton wick)
3. Odd flavor (not burned) just not what i was expecting

Any help on the matter would be great. Im hoping to get good at this as my Taifun Gt will be here soon and i dont really want to deal with simple issues like this with that.

Im using 5/64 bit with 9 wraps

Well depending on the gauge wire your using explains the high ohms, as well as the amount of wraps. And if your going to wrap it that much you want to make sure each wrap touches each other for more heat (lower ohm). If it's flooding it may be because your not putting enough cotton or your chimney isn't on right. You want to make sure the sides of the atomizer has little to no holes in it where the cotton/silica should be sticking out. And the wierd taste is from the cotton. You want to make sure the cotton you use is organic, anything else I wouldn't recommend to use. Unlike regular (100%) cotton, organic doesn't use any pesticides or any other chemicals when growing, all there is is the bleaching of the cotton from hydrogen peroxide. But it's safe because hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) breaks down to H2O and O (water and oxygen) when heated. Plus organic cotton taste perfect right out the bag so there are no problems with a cotton-y taste.
