I did it, I picked up the Magneto and I think it's great. The telescoping section isn't near as loose as my SVD so it feels very secure, the button has a nice press and the RSST looks good on it.

The closest B&M wouldn't sell me just the K100 unless I ordered it from their web site anyway.

Thanks for everyone's input.

I need help with suggestions on a good first mech mod purchase.
I want a bottom firing mod that is telescopic to fit different battery sizes and preferably under $40.
I have a Fogger V2.5, 2 PT2, Igo-W, 3 EVODS that I would potentially want to use on it, although I don't have to have eGo threading bc my local B&M has adapters for $3.

HELP PLEASE!

Thank you in advance.

My first mechanical mod is the one I bought the day after Christmas. A Sigelei Silver Dragon mod. Later that day, someone showed me a Chi-You clone and I got that one too. Now the poor Sigelei is back in it's box. But I've found a good home for it so off it goes in the mail tomorrow. The Silver Dragon is a solid telescoping mod. The one major flaw I think it has is the firing button. It's recessed with a groove cut out on either side of the recess for your finger to fit across. That means it can be set down on it's base without firing it. I found it uncomfortable. I paid 35 bucks for it at a brick and mortar so I'm sure you can find it for that or less on the internet along with lots of others. My Chi-You clone is equally well made, has a locking ring firing button, but is not telescoping. Instead it comes with various tube pieces to be used to reconfigure for battery or battery with kick. I'm in love with it so much I've sold all my APV mods except for my Lavatube, and am giving the silver dragon to a friend. The Silver Dragon does have ego threading but you'll have to unscrew the top ring off to give you access to it thus loosing the ability to use the carbiner it comes with or attaching a lanyard to it via the same ring. As it is with a lot of things, I feel mechanical mods come down to personal preferences. Other mechanicals that I've looked at and were impressed with are the sentinel m16 and the nemesis mods. For under $40, your going to be looking at primarily clones though so be careful and do your research. There's nothing wrong with getting a clone as long as you look it over good and look for things that can go wrong like vent holes in the top, flimsy springs, horrible threading, cheap materials. Some clones I've seen side by side with their authentic counterparts and the clone just flat out looked better made or were improved upon, and others were complete garbage and look like an accident waiting to happen.
