Good man. Nice picks, all. Get good batts and a charger, maybe consider the switch magnets upgrade. Also note that a nemi will fit a kick nicely - not for subohm use, but great if you're looking for some additional regulation and safety.

wait the nemesis isn't good with sub ohming? thats what i want to achieve with the kayfun and the nemesis, batteries i have are two samsung sdi, they are pink and 18650's. would those be good for getting into sub ohm?

He meant you can't use deciohm coils with the kick like you would use a deciohm coil without one..edit-but you can use the nemesis with subforum builds to clear up the confusion.

The icr's have a 5.2amp rating..so no..I wouldn't go below 0.9ohms..I recommend staying at or above 1ohm to get use to rebuilding.

I've been using a k100 primarily for a couple months and just recently added a nemesis clone to my collection. both are absolutely great, but I find myself using the nemesis a lot more often. it just looks and feels a little bit better. in my opinion, worth the small difference in price that you're likely to find. in either case, I think the igo-W or igo-L are both great for learning the art of rebuilding. if you haven't tried building your own coils before, the igo-W might be easier for you because of the holes in the posts.

Nemesis is fine for subohm. There's nothing that would prevent you from doing whatever you want with it. It's the BATTERIES that matter. Get the batteries that I suggested earlier. They're the best bang for your buck. The Panasonics are 10 amp rated, and just fine all the way down to .6Ω, to be safe, and will last a LONG time on a single charge. The Sonys are 30 amp rated and will take just about anything you throw at them.

Get a halfway decent multimeter. It's really a requirement in order to check your batteries, and you can check atomizer resistance as well.

I run around .9Ω in my Kayfun Lite clone, and it's amazing. I run all the way down to .4Ω on my IGO-W, and it performs wonderfully. You won't be disappointed.

I really like the Nemesis clone and the Russian 91% (same as the Kayfun for all intents and purposes), and I also have an IGO-W. The IGO-W is excellent and a lot of fun, but when I leave the house the Russian goes with me... just a lot easier having a tank on the go.

I'm sure your local shop can get these for you easily, and I would really recommend that, even if you get the K100 combo (which is not a bad way to start). You are going to need some support to start off and local shops may add a little to the price, but the support and guidance you will receive is priceless. A good shop will still support you even when you come in with your brand new internet rig, but come on... the support they will provide is worth every penny you spend in their markup to make sure you have a good vaping experience. Local support from your B&M is truly worth it IMO.

Trust these guys and get good batteries,... if you venture far enough into sub ohm then they will pay off all day long.
Not only are some batteries safer but they will perform better too. I see the difference even on 1.2 coils not just low builds....You only know this after having both side by side to vape next to each other. The vape will remain more linear longer than it will on just ok batteries. Trust me trust me trust me :)

I also believe that you will run into problems trying to take the kayfun too low. it only flow so much air and that alone will lead to burning juice and not nicer ness :)

Keep the lower stuff in the dripper... and never forget to ask the stupid question if you feel the need.

Best of luck man!

so what's the lowest that the kayfun lite will go? or reccomend to have best experience. I'm lookign for something that i can use on the go but get decent amount of clouds

It's all about the battery amp rating. Divide voltage by ohms to get amp draw. That number should be lower than the amp discharge your battery is rated for with a safety margin. Best to just get a Sony 30 amp and be done with it. Well worth 15 bucks.

You might want to read Baditude's blog posts on batteries and battery safety. This one to start, and then the others are easily findable from there.

As for your question, it depends on what you want in a RBA. If you are looking for a dripper, the Kraken is really good, as are most of the Kraken clones. If you want a vacuum atty with good vapor and flavor, the Russian 91% or a Kayfun will work great. Most attys are pretty good and everyone has different likes and dislikes when it comes to them.

The Kayfun is a winner for many people, because it is easy to access the deck and rebuild. The Igo-W is also easy to build on, but does not really travel well.

Edit: Avoid anything that is designed for Genisis (stainless mesh) wicks. Almost all of the can leak from the airholes.

I suggest you just make a checklist and start eliminating stuff.
Is adjustable airflow important to you? If it is, then that drops the attys to use down to a mere handful.
What about stainless steel? If you want your atty to be made entirely from stainless, that will limit you to original attys and a handful of clones.
etc.

Thanks man! I'm definitely going to be researching safety like no other.

Are these good batteries? If not what you recommend that will fit in nemesis

I've built kayfuns as low as .5 ohm. They really seem to shine between 1-1.4 ohms. Plenty of vapor and great taste. I dual coiled one that came out to .7 ohm. It works great too but the Kayfun is already a warm vape. Sub ohming a kayfun isn't really necessary and it doesn't make it work better. Build a nice, safe 1.2 ohm micro coil with .28 ga kanthal and wick it with cotton. You'll love it. Nothing against sub ohmers...I play with it from time to time too...but start slow. Get your builds right and solid. Don't get it in your head that if it's over 1 ohm, it sucks....it's just not true. A well built kayfun will amaze you. Have fun!

I'm probably going to buy a drop atty to sub ohm and kayfun for mobile clouds. What about the batteries I linked??

Don't buy batteries from China. Ever. Not only do you risk your package being seized or returned to the vendor, they use counterfeits far too much to ever risk it. Buy from a reputable battery dealer.
Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor This is one.
If you want to sub-oHm, the Sony 30 amp batteries that were recommended earlier are the way to go. 100%
If you just want to vape 1.2 ohm and higher, AW protected batteries all the way, or AW IMR's with a kick or 2 cent fuse.
If you ignore that advice, then all I can say is avoid anything with "fire" in it's name (those are made for flashlights only, and are not high drain).

You should pick up the kick clone from FT, and get a nice selection of drip tips while you're there as well. They also carry decent chargers (read the comments to find the good ones) and ohm meters as well...some specifically designed to use with 510 attys. Again, read the comments to separate the trash from the good stuff.

Edit: Efests are good batteries too. So are Panasonic and Orbtronic, but those are often counterfeited, so be careful.

The kick clone is a clone of a Kick module. It let's you turn almost all mech mods into regulated variable wattage mods (at the expense of battery size and life).

As for the Kayfun, the one I have from them is the $25 one with both the clear and stainless tank insert. I don't know if they renamed it to the 91% or not. It's the most expensive kayfun clone, if that helps. :)
