For venting, if possible drill 3 or 4 holes around the TOP of the battery area. Make the holes about 1.5 to 2 mm. When a battery vents, it should begin venting out the top first. If the battery swells when heating and venting, bottom vent holes are basically worthless.

The battery should be OK to use. Just check your ohms before firing and don't try to subohm with only a 10 amp discharge battery.

I was given a mech mod today I don't know the name or the name of the rba. The first thing I noticed was there were no vent holes. Should I drill some? Second I was wondering if I build the dropper with a 1 ohm coil would these, 18650 IMR Panasonic Battery CGR18650CH 10A High Drain Rechargeable Cell - Fast Shipping ...be okay to use...using ohm's law with a 1 ohm build I think it would work but I wanted the opinion of someone more knowledgeable.

volts = amps x ohms
4 = amps x 1
amps = 4

Yes a 10A IMR battery would be ok to use on a 1 ohm coil.

Before you drag out a drill, scar up your mod, and punch a hole in your hand... Maybe you could take a picture of the mod in question. We can probably name it and tell you how it vents in about 30 seconds. None of my mods have obvious vent holes, but they all vent. In theory anyway, as I've never had to test one. Which conveniently brings us to question two. Why not spring for a bit better battery? You know, just in case. Maybe you will always build to 1 ohm, maybe not. A little extra headroom never hurt anyone, and the price difference for a higher amp limit battery is pretty minimal. Just my thoughts.

I ordered a couple of these AW IMR 18650 2200 mAh
The reason I asked about the Panasonic batteries is, I have them already. I use them in my Vamo.
When I figure out how to post pictures from my phone I'll put a couple up. Thank you everyone for your help. I've been building the coils for my protank mini's so I have some experience in that area.
After some google searching, I figured out that it is a Pegasus like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261758847166?lpid=82&chn=ps
Probably a clone but not sure.
