Ahh, I remember my first micro coil build like it was yesterday, hang on, it was yesterday, lol. well I did wrap one yesterday. Good job on getting the first one out of the way. Make sure you saturate and tuck that wick in before test burning, otherwise

Nice tight coil. Well done. You're probably going to find that's a little too much cotton for wick (might result in dry hits and burnt wick - not pleasant to vape). It's incredible just how little of the stuff you need. Otherwise, vape on, sailor.
Don't cut it down to much, just take off a bit of the cotton. And tuck it underneath the coil and see how that does for ya. If you truly don't like it you can always slide another piece through it.
What gauge did you use? And yes, it looks terrific! I'll reiterate the aforementioned comments: lighter on the cotton and make sure to tuck under the coil. It's a lot easier for the juice to travel up to dryer parts of the wick when the distance is shorter. But other than that, kudos my friend.
Looks good and same as the rest tuck it under the coil so it sucks the juice off the deck. If you drip enough it will wick off the deck.

Made the swap to a mechanical mod and RDA today and this is my first micro coil with cotton:
28 gauge ended up at 1.62 ohms.

All those cotton on the other side will not help with wicking. it will just hold juice and provide little wicking. so, cut them off and put the tail under the coil. cotton on left side should extend little and tuck under as well. this will allow juice to feed from both side of coil.
Once the cotton is threaded, fan and fluff the tails to widen the surface area.

Unless I am blind, is the cotton not going through your coils and just sitting under them?
^pretty sure thats what it is. i prefer bedding my wick under my coils too, i think it allows the coil to breathe more. idk theres any scientific evidence that supports that though lol
Yeah looks Nano Dragon or PID style to me.. When set up right the Dragon roars!!
