I agree not all NiMh batteries are created equal...and most store bought ones can't hack it...but I also don't want to get caught up in a sidetracked discussion about whose batt is bigger and badder...mine work for my purposes and under the correct conditions most will for others, you have to take into account they are not Li-Ion and as such a lower energy density require more units to provide equal power...
On the other hand my point is lets help the OP figure out his problem rather that muddle over an OLD argument...
No interest in snubbing you WillyB I have watched for and read all your threads and posts with relish due to your penchant for providing EXCELLENT data to the table...many simply toss out pics and say hey here's a mod hope ya like it aint it pretty...I am guilty of that but then again in my case its due to lack of the ability to put thought to text very well...at least where tech is concerned...
So after a little side trip hey Bardolf has anything said here helped yet...BTW I will acknowledge AAA batt packs are definitely not the way to go...I made a 3AAA flashlight into a mod and the batts worked for a bit but it eventually killed the batts(they died and would not recharge after 2 weeks) I use AA nimh and one set of NiZN AA batts in my mods and so far they haven't died yet but that does make for MUCH bigger mods...and also none of my batts are higher than 1800mah... they have a lower internal resistance than the 2500mah and a higher C rating...the 600 mah sounds like a lower internal resistance type since I have seen 900mah AAA batts so you might get enough for an atty with those but a charge won't last long nor will the batteries last under such high load conditions...
but since you said you will be replacing the pack with 10440s I chose to forgo the warning about that in my first post.....

didnt read the second to last post well enough...Good Deal Glad it works for ya Bardolf...Vape on Bro.....
