If you are interested in smaller mods, my fave low cost mods are

3.7v plastic box mod (uses one 14500)
I have a pair of 510-threaded ones and a bottom feeder too from ECF Buying & Selling... Modders section, just got a 901/808 threaded one from Madvapes

3.7v wood "Twig" from ecigworkshop (uses one 18350) (twig is their smallest form factor mod but still a bit chunky for pocketing.)

If you get a VV box mod, I would not get one without the Evercool/Varicool circuit. As I understand it without that circuit the charge will be used up as if you always had it set to the highest setting. Old Goat in ECF Buying & Selling... Modders has a $55 VV w/ evercool and Smoktek.com does too.

And here is the ecig mods database
whooops not this - but I will leave this because it is so funny

I know I keep throwing new things out there, but how about the OMG mod from v4l? I like the fact that it has everything including more juice. I read somewhere that stacked batteries weren't a good idea though. Is that true?

It is always safer to go with a single battery instead of stacking batteries, according to the experts.

I've been vaping a stacked battery vv for a year. I'll use a decently designed stacked battery happily, one with proper protection circuitry, venting, etc.

Unprotected, unvented, or just trying to pull too many amps for a given battery, I'll avoid.

(simple mechanical mods can be super, just don't use them beyond what the design is built for)

i tried buying a VV boxmod and building my own from madvapes parts. In the end, they are fragile if you are a klutz like myself. I just ordered a lava tube clone from n haler....$80 for a full kit with 2 batteries and a charger. Thats as budget friendly as you can get.

The new Elips style kits are very cool too, I like the fact that they can be used as a passthrough while plugged in.

Ok so I just got my 5v OMG through V4L. I got 20 cool carts based on some advice in the one video review I found. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! THe only complaint I have is that the tank gave me a massivly burnt hit. It only happened once, but i did let it sit for about fifteen minutes after filling it to let it soak up juice. It was Wowbacco, if that makes any difference...
