Hey guys i have just started to work in my first mod. It will be parallel 26650, i will be using a fatdaddyvapes 510 connection, and the mutation x rda by indulgence. I am wondering what button i should use. i found a few that are 5 amp will this button hold up? Also wondering what gauge wire i should use. I got 18 gauge already i thing this will be good. Thanks guys!

The amp rating of your switch and wire gauge will depend on how many apms you are planning on drawing, how low a resistance coil you use. If you plan on sub ohm coils, a higher rated switch would be a good investment. Switches with lower ratings might work for a while, but the internal arcing will quickly render them useless, and you're changing switches constantly. The highest gauge wire you can fit, use, solder in place securely is also a good idea, the thinner the wire the greater the voltage drop and the more it will heat up.

The mod is going to take any 510 threaded topper, right? not just the mutation x.

Yes it would take anything with a 510 connection. How does having 2 batteries benefit? Would you get double the amps? It would make since to me that it would double amps in a parallel sequence.

2 batteries in parallel would double the available power.
It would double the available amps.

I read that thread and i have a question on calculating watts to figure out what fuse i need with my batteries. I looked up how to calculate watts and it google said to multiply amps and volts to get watts. so my question is would i multiply watts by continous amprage or pulse amprage? Pulse right? Because thats youre batteries peak and a fuse should blow when you're pushing the batterie beyond its peak. Thanks guys all of you helping me out have been very helpful and knowledgeable.

Figure you're max current using 4.2 volts for a full battery charge, and use the battery max continuous amperage. The peak amps specification is NOT set by any industry standards, each company get to make up their own numbers. The pule is somthing the battery should survive before a protection circuit kicks in. Important for an electrical engineer designing a battery powered widget, not as much for vaping.

Parallel will not double the voltage, it is the average of the two batteries...

How to Wire Batteries in Series (or in Parallel) : Wiring two batteries in parallel

and...

"Unlike wiring batteries in series when batteries are wired in parallel the voltage does not increase, the output voltage is the average voltage of all batteries in the circuit. For example if a 3V and a 9V battery were wired in parallel the output voltage would be 6V ( 9+3 divided by 2 ) however the current will be total amperage of all batteries in the circuit (minus any losses)."

You would have the total amperage of the batteries...
