Hello all,

A friend at work has been using an OMG from Vape4Life since November. I had been buying Njoy kings off and on for a bit when I can find them and really liked them. After seeing her OMG I started thinking of really getting into this. Tons of lurking on this site and checking out SmokenJoey reviews on youtube led me to the Halo G6, which I ordered and received last week. So far so good, I have had it up and running since Friday and really enjoying it. But... I was impatient...

On Thursday, before the G6 got here, I found a local shop, Buckeye Vapors. I was much too eager to get started so I got 2 Vivi tanks and 2 ego twists. The guy at the shop was great, and I found flavors I really enjoy right off the bat. I got no problem with them, it was a good experience, I just have a problem with myself. :p

Today Halo updated it's site with the Triton stuff, and I am kicking myself so hard for not waiting a few days. I already blew my financial load, and I am not convinced I am happy with the Vivi's. And my Twists are a black one and a blue one. Damn I wanna try those tritons.

Anywho, my name is Shufflefield and the last thing I need is another hobby to spend money on. But at least I am smoking analogs a hell of a lot less and missing them much less than I expected. Someday everything in my kit will be Purple and Green (my Halo batteries are purple, a 3rd manual emerald green one is en route along with matching cartos). Expect many questions over the next few days.

Thanks,

Shuff

hey Shuffle, Welcome to a fellow Columbus resident. Congrats your your effort to kick the cigs. There is also an Altsmoke here in town if you get an urge to check it out. They carry some good liquids and hardware (the Smokeless Image Volt RY4 flavor is really good). Don't worry about the buyers remorse, most of us have spent far more and not gotten nearly as far as your set up. The bottom line is whatever makes you happy. It is kind of like computer upgrades or golf clubs..... there is always the best new thing coming next.

Hey "Shuff" . . .

"We" all gets buyer remorse in more ways then one sometimes . . .

Thankfully, I found and started with the Halo G6 when they first came out over a year ago . . . AND - While "My" story and what has been happening with "Me" is to long of a story to repeat here . . . All I want to mention to you is - "You" never know what may happen - we are all surprised with great results when we least expect it as long as we all stay strong with our commitment to lessen or quit our addictions . . . Just Sayin' . . .;)

GOOD LUCK - on Your "Transition into the Vaping World" . . . :D

I do want to check out altsmoke, but Buckeye is close to me. I would have to traverse the OSU area to get to Altsmoke and I try to avoid that when I can. Next time I head to Weiland's though I might make it over there.

So far though I am just really liking the halo stuff, but I can see myself not ordering and needing juice at some point. I am glad we have local shops available.

Multiply the number of packs a day you smoked by the average price and you have a budget to work with. Mine was about $150 a month at 2 PAD.

We all need backup devices just in case our primary vape conks out. Look at what you have purchased as insurance against going back to smoking cigarettes. In terms of health benefits vs smoking, vaping is a good investment.

Spend a little time on the hardware threads and develop a feel for what's liked and what's not so liked and reserve your decision until you have a feel for what's new and really good. Keep in mind that there's a lot of people who rave about what they bought and later find some reasons not to like it as much. So, take the reviews with a grain of salt.

I don't really have buyers remorse. I am fine with my kit, except the color. I am weird like that. I am just annoyed that as soon as I ordered stuff and got stuff local Halo dropped prices and introduced really pretty shiny things.

So my first question - am I over doing it? I hit it alot. and I think I might be burning my tastebuds out. On my Vivi setup the flavor seems to disappear after 2-3 hits. if I set it down and let it go for a few minutes the next hits are fine, but it then seems to dry up taste wise (still produces vapor). And my mouth kinda has a "been drinking and smoking since noon yesterday" feeling...

Drink lots of water and for me, brushing my tongue helps. What you are describing is common.

That's where I am now. I dive into a hobby hard and try everything. I have a bunch of horrible flavors and a few tanks, rba's and batteries sitting here. I'm sure I'll add to it as I buy different vv mods and then decide to just get a provari and call it a day... lol

But like any hobby it comes down to what works for you and what you like. And half the fun is learning and trial and error. I mean, how do we know what we like if we don't try different things.

First congratulations on making the transition from regular cigarettes to vaping. Second, All of us have been in your shoes, don't feel bad and most of us have transitioned into a HOBBY MODE just because of all of the different things to own and try. As far as the Vivi taste problem, that is most likely due to the wicking action inherent in the ViVi. Personal opinion: I own a ViVi Nova and don't use it anymore because of the lack of vapor and taste problem.

Again, personally I will NEVER save any money (especially if I keep buying new toys), but presently I have moved up from the small e-cigs to owing a Vamo and a new KTS GG Clone mechanical. As far as those mods, the total cost was under $80 for both plus batteries and charger. Check out carto tanks on ECF and think about getting an inexpensive tank to try. I think you will enjoy the larger capacity for e-liquid and the flavor. Finding your Holy Grail of device and juice can be exasperating and expensive. You just need to read, read, and read some more before purchasing, and hope you made the right decision. It is best to stick with USA Vendors with good reviews in order to get satisfactory customer service if needed. A little more expensive, but worth the price.

Best Wishes

Congratulations on coming to the digital side!

Well, I first bought my C-Twist... Didn't research enough on prices etc. Payed $130 for the Twist 1000mAh, charger, VVN 3.5mL, and 3 10ml flavors. Ripoff right? That's 3 weeks ago. Now I'm thinking of buying the Vamo V2.

After I saw what the actual prices where I felt cheated, but I thought "Hey, this really helps me stay off analogs. Guess I just need to blind sight what it cost me and be happy I'm not using the other stuff."

I paid about that much, but I got 2 vivi's 2 twists, 4 bottles, a case, bunch of stuff really. At least I didn't feel ripped off. The prices compared well to what was online, I just, you know, stocked up. Luckily I got to test all the flavors in the shop so while I don't hate anything I got, I came to dislike 2 of the juices even after trying them. Luckily I only got small bottles of those.

I should have a Halo tobacco sampler in the mail when I get home and some cartos to match my G6. Looking forward to trying Tribeca and having a Blank for "Grey" from buckeye.
