Hi Im Cleb a tattooer,I have been smoking for around 19 yrs or more, and have quit a couple of times without any help but I wasnt a heavy smoker back then.I smoke about 15 to 20 a day Silk Cut Silver.
I am gonna try one of these ecig things but I would like some advice from other users like which is most reliable and successful.
The biggest reason for posting here is my lady she has C.O.P.D, emphasemia (spelling bad) and chronic bronchitis caused by smoking and shes finding it very hard to quit as she has became almost housebound, boredom makes it harder for her.
So I guess is it safe for people with lung conditions, gotta be safer than smoking Im sure.
Ive seen them advertised from around £20 to £50,and today was the first Ive seen or heard of them.
I have very little free time on my hands with work and looking after my partner,so some well placed advice would be greatly appreciated from those of you who have the knowledge.
Thanks in advance and hello to you all

Cignot is where I got my 510 without the box and it's working great. I have broncitis myself and e-cigs have helped my breathing or I should say quitting smoking has. In just the few days since I begun I have noticed a difference but If she is in that stage of copd I think I'd ask her doctor. Welcome and good luck.

well hello to you as well..if it were me I'd take a look at the sites for the vapor station, totally wicked uk (or the electronic cigarette company) or janty uk...
A good starter model is a joye 510 (versus at vapor station, tecc titan at totally wicked or tecc, or a dura/dura-c through janty) what I started with and what got me off regular cigarettes.. prices vary of course from supplier to supplier..
The battery life is kinda dismal on that model though (about an hour or 2 with heavy use).. what I would recommend is the janty eGo (it'll be offered as the TW tornado probably at the end of feb) which is really a 510 with a larger battery 600 mAh compared to 180 mAh so it's lasting users upward of 7+ hours on a single battery charge...but it's more expensive, so I'd probably start with a 510 at first to see if it's going to work for you and then upgrade to the eGo if it does and you'd still be able to use the 510 atomizers and carts on it..
But thats just my opinion

cignot is great true but since you're in the u.k. i dunno if they ship international and if so what their shipping would be..I tried to give you UK suppliers..

PS. might also want to take a look at the intellicig EVO as well they made some pretty big headway over there with acceptance by the UK version of ASH and the government..

Edit for disclaimer: As I said I was trying to give you UK suppliers...I personally do not like TW or TECC...their UK divisions may be better but I do not care for their prices or reputation as far as quality of customer service but have not dealt with their UK divisions.. I have ordered from vapor station however and was pleased with the product..janty also seems to have a good reputation

I would also recommend the Joye 510 from Totally Wicked UK. I have some mods but always go back to my 510. The battery life does suck but you can get a multicharger from TW, UK which charges 5 batteries at a time. If you buy extra batteries and some atomizers you can have several units going at one time. I vape until I get 5 dead batteries and then put them on the charger. This helps with the battery life.

Hi Cleb,

I was Dx'd with COPD last year and spent five days in the hospital. I've tried quitting many times. You'd think hearing news like COPD would be enough  but I kept smoking, thinking I was a lost cause.

I've been smoke free since I got my 510 (I also used cignot) and I haven't used my inhaler, it hasn't aggravated my lungs, and I have had no adverse reactions. I read a long thread here somewhere about another forum member with COPD who actually reported that his Dr. was amazed at the dramatic improvement in his lung function since he quit smoking and starting vaping.

Like anything, when you have a known chronic illness, it's always best to let your doctors know - but unfortunately, many seem uninformed.

For me personally, vaping was my last resort and it's turned out to be miraculous. I enjoy it more than smoking! I like it so much, I went ahead and ordered another 510 starter kit (the price from cignot can't be beat for what you get) - and I'm now starting to order e-juices from various suppliers in small sizes so I can try them, see what I like (menthol/mint seems to be the big winner for me so far) - and build up my rations!

I found this on youtube - have a look:
YouTube - Chief of Staff UCLA Santa Monica on electronic cigarettes - Part One

It's probably been posted here before, but I found it poking around on youtube and was impressed with this doctor's candor and willingness to go public by stating that he does believe it's a very safe alternative to smoking.

Good Luck! I wish you and your partner the best. This is a great place for support, information and encouragement. Keep looking around, there are many threads where people have discussed COPD and other chronic bronchial disorders.

vaporstation.co.uk eric has great customer service...510 is amazing...i love mine...got 4 more kits for friends who have quit using them too...products are really good and sturdy/reliable...they comewith a 6 month warranty so u cant go wrong...ive tried alotta their liquids so if u want a review of any just ask...personally i love their ry4(vs4),mint choc(new york) and rush(kinda like red bull)...you get cheaper liquid when you order a kit at the same time...check for their discount code...i dont know the uk one

ive ordered a 901 from liberty-flights.co.uk and like it(less throat hit and a bit more flavor)...you can get a kr808(2 piece from there as well...if ur OH wants something easy and reliable) im not a huuuge fan of their liquid(dekang brand) but others love it...they have flavorart flavorings which are supposed to be great...have yet to try!!!discount code is ecf i think or try ecf 69 for 10% off

other suppliers i hear are good but have yet to try are totally wicked,e-cigs.co.uk(they sell the big battery protege/prodigy..i have a protege on the way..much longer battery life but a bit bigger)i hear their customer service is excellent...another is cloud9vaping.co.uk(they have the big battery gg...beautiful but expensive!!!)

i have actually and will again order from china...heavengifts you can order priority for about 20dollars to arrive in 7-10 days or for future purchases perhaps its reallly cheap to send normal mail but it takes 2-4weeks...they have loadsa models and the dekang juice(also have their own new line of juice)..they deffinitley have cheapest prices if ur on a budget and can wait...

other chinese suppliers who are great value and great customer service are healthcabin.net and eastmall.net

hope this helps
