Id like to say hello to everyone. Im new around here eventhough Ive been doing some reading as a non member. I find this forum very informative and appreciate those that share their experiences here for the benefit of others. Im pretty new to ecigaretes. I chose an EVOD Kanger set up for starters. I really like grape 24 mgs from Smoke Screen in Gautier Ms. . Im still trying to find a tobacco flavor that comes close to an analog. Ive tried American Red Devil and something called TB 5 . Ive also given RY4 a go. None of these really did it for me , so to speak.

We all vape for different reasons im sure. My purpose is to reduce or eliminate my need for analogs all together. It would be much easier if I could find a tobacco flavor that was pleasant to vape. Any suggestions would be,appreciated including, a mild menthol. I smoke marlboro lights presently. I have cut down vaping grape , but id like to reduce my dependence even further.

Im 49 years old. Ive had 3 heart attacks and have over 20 coronary stents. Ive survived colon cancer and skin cancer and am currently recovering from a hernia surgery gone wrong. I have an open wound and and on a wound pump. Quitting smoking has been and still is a priority. Ive quit on and off for varying periods of time over the last 10 years. This is the first time ive tried vaping as a method of quitting.

Thanks again for reading my post. Any and all advice is welcome and will be considered.

Since your purpose is to quit analogs, why would U want to have a ecig with an analog flavor?.....we are trying to get as far away as possible from analogs, which have a nasty flavor but became habitual...I smoked Marlboros for 45 years...I suggest U try a light easy smooth flavor like a caramel 555 from Best E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes | E Cig Juice - MT Baker Vapor (MBV), which falls into the tobacco flavor category, but is not overbearing or fruity....U won't find many or any real vaping flavors that taste like an old analog, and that's designed like that for a reason...BTW, a year ago I had a heart attack, stents, and 4 x 4 x 4 inch hole in my leg from skin melanoma cancer surgery, but then quit analogs and began vaping 555 and working out daily and running 5 miles and swimming 1 mile a day now in the past year, and am healthy as a horse now..not to mention the savings in $$$, and the return of my smell and taste buds..

I'm so glad you are vaping and quit being a lurker and joined ECF. You will get alot more benefit using ECF if you speak on your experiences and ask questions. You will find most in here are anxious to try helping if they can. You have been through alot and I'm sorry to hear that. I'm 50 yrs old and smoked 30 yrs but luckily preferred vaping and quit smoking 2 yrs ago. I never thought I would ever say I didn't want a cig at all. Vaping has been my miracle. Most Vapers tend to move away from tobaccos and prefer a fruit or a desert, etc. but some still love tobaccos and some vendors specialize in them. Some are Halo, Mountain Oak Vapors. There are threads in here on good tobaccos you should read too. Also, the biggest part of successfully quitting smoking is finding the flavors that you absolutely love and prefer over cigs, as well as the right nic levels that satisfy you. Get lots of small sample sizes and enjoy trying several out. It will help alot! Good luck!

Sorry to hear about all the problems you've faced/ are still facing. But as others have said, you've done the right thing by joining, lurking in the background can be so lonely

I was the same as you when I first started vaping, I'd convinced myself that I had to have a tobacco flavour juice. That idea went out the window in my very first day. I went through half a tank of juice that was supposed to mimic my favourite brand and to be honest, it tasted like armpit :?: I went back to the shop I'd got my first set up from and tried a few fruit type juices. I've not looked back since, I only vape fruit, dessert or drink type juices now and nothing else. Plus it's great to be able to DIY juice combos too. Variety is the spice of life after all :D

Yea, I had a hard time because I didn't love fruits or deserts or tobaccos, but at first a sweet tobacco helped me. It took me awhile to realize I mostly prefer a vanilla I make and sometimes some teas. I try flavors still from time to time in the evenings and its nice, but I always go back to vaping mostly my vanilla.

First of all , I appreciate all of the welcomes and am glad I decided to become an ECF member.

There is a lot of truth to the irony of seeking a vapor that mimics my favorite brand of analog. One of the hardest parts of quitting for me is missing those cigarettes that become a part of my daily routine. I suppose that having a tobacco flavor would help me get past those daily speed bumps. Ive tried several tobacco flavors , but they reminded me more of licking an ashtray than of having a cigarette. Today I stopped by a kisok in the mall that sold eliquid and found a Marlboro vapor that was the best id tried as of yet , but of course the vendor was out of the liquid in both local mall locations. He claimed it was a Wicked product , but after checking online , I found only the Red I had already tried. He said to check back Thursday and he may have some by then. Ive also tried and like Dragon Blood 24 mgs I got from a vendor who has a set up at a local flea market.

The lessons Ive learned so far from reading these forums are remarkable and have saved me a ton of time and trouble . Seems to me that the web is full of sellers and is more cost effective and has the potential to be of better quality than some of the locals that buy and mix their own stuff. This is and continues to be a learning experience. Im grateful there is such a great forum of people willing to share their experience.

The goal is to cut down and then completely stop using analogs. Im on my way.

Thanks again,

Rock

Hi there Rock and welcome! Are you by any chance a rock hauler? Nice to meet you! I drive an old 2001 379 Pete with about 1,600,000 miles on her. We are both tired!

I have read a lot about WTA around here. They are the closest to an analog, apparently. They have Whole Tobacco Alkaloids in them and the extraction process is different that the regular process (boy, I am a wealth of technical information, aren't I???). Some folks have found this type of liquid very helpful in quitting the analogs. I have done fine with the tobacco flavors but none of the approximate the taste of a Pall Mall Light 100 and that's ok with me. I like the RY4, USA Tobacco, and Denver Dusk from Vapor Leaf. The owner has created that taste and it is heavy but fills the bill when I am having a strong craving.

You know that wounds heal a bunch faster without cigarettes, right? I wish you all the best and hope you are feeling better in a big hurry! This whole "hobby" is a blast, don't ya think?
