*First Post* Seeking Advice to Get Started

Hi all. 10 year tobacco user here, hoping to make a smooth transition into being entirely smoke free! Here goes...

I've been poking around the forums here lately trying to get a bit of the terminology down and to also learn about the various e-cig setups before making a post. I tried a disposable e-cig from a gas station long ago and was fairly pleased, but also found myself wanting for a better experience (not a fan of cartriges). What I would ideally like to be vaping with would be something I can simply refill with juice (a clearomizer?) that will also last longer than a month (my disposable died after maybe 2 weeks which I thought was impressive for 7 bucks, but probably wasn't haha). Where my situation gets a little bit sticky is, I've been trying to burn through some Amazon gift cards from the holidays, but I'm afraid I might purchase the wrong items! Does anyone have any opinions on what I should be looking at on Amazon? I mainly ask because I've been burned so many times by sellers on that website on unrelated items. I'm pretty dead-set on getting my juice from Heather's from what I've read here so far, but would love to get my battery, charger, and clearomizer on Amazon as well as anything else I may need but have left out. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, even if it is just to point out where I sound like an idiot ;D. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to provide useful information here myself! Thank you in advance for any advice/suggestions.

I agree. You may buy many other mods in the future, but I bet the ego spinner will get the most use. I like using an iClear 16 clearomizer with it.

not a huge selection on amazon honestly.. i mean from what i saw there was a few ego batteries not many dont see any spinners.. umm but there are a few ego's of different kinds on there.. heres a exact reciept form altsmoke.com of what some great and helpful experienced members on here helped me settle on after discussion / reviews ect ... here was my complete order if it helps so u can kinda copy and paste and look it up piece by piece as it helped me anyhow...

This is a good beginner's setup. Look for brand names like Joye or Joytech for the Twist batteries and Vision for the Spinner batteries, clearomizers, and Vivi Nova tanks. There has been historical evidence that the original brand name manufactured products are much more dependable than the knockoffs.

Imo you shouldn't buy gear judt because it's on amazon and you have amazon credit to spend. Buy from a specialized ecig vendor and save amazon for other stuff. This'll be way better for you in the long run. Good luck!

I started with a EGO 1000 mah battery. I found quickly I like variable voltage to change the flavor of the Vape so I got that. Happy with all of that. I use ce4 clearomisers and dedicate a flavor to each one. after 4 months I have stepped up to a VAMO. You will grow in your likes so it is good to reach out to the forum but also to Facebook there may be some locals you can find and do get togethers. We are doing one tonight in a Vape friendly restraunt. Good luck!!

Best to stick with ECF verified/ listed Vendors as to stay listed here they must adhere to a strict policy of biz ethics and they will back up their product.

I mainly ask because I've been burned so many times by sellers on that website on unrelated items.

Save the gift cards for quality chargers, ultrasonic cleaner for steeping juices, and various DIY supplies. Really good batteries for mods are on there too.

I started vaping two weeks ago. I quit analogs and bought blu e-cig at the local drug store. Was having to charge batteries every hour or so. Checked into some thing better to use. I purchased the eGo C and used the Vision Clearomizers on it. Worked so much better and batteries lasted me three days without having to charge them. I just purchased and received in the mail a "Reo Grand" and that will be my all day PV. I plan on using my eGo C for trying new ejuices. Still looking for my favorite e Juice for my all day vape! I was a 2 pack a day heavy smoker. One of those people who everyone and myself thought would never be able to quit smoking esp after 36 yrs of smoking and can't count how many times to quit. I have not had a normal cigarette (analog) in two weeks and am not missing them at all. I really thought for me to actually quit I would have to be locked in a padded room. LOL Vaping has literally changed my life and I will never pick up another analog!

Vaporizers

Grab the Ego Twist Kit, and one spare battery from above. Also pickup a couple clearomizers from this page Carto/Atomizer/RBAs either the Kanger T3 or the Vivi Nova Mini.

Next decide on what you think you might want for juice and order a sample pack or two.

For Fruit juices I recommend Welcome to Black Velvet e-Juice - Oklahoma's finest! they simply cannot be beat, I would go for around 18-24mg to start out.

Irehc77, I agree with you....I am a 30 yr smoker of about a pack a day......I quit for a month using an ecig than ran out of supplies....right back to smoking for the last two days..I will be back on track tommorow. Im actually happy as I was liking the vaping better than smoking. I love the coffee flavored cartomizers....good job on your quitting. My family still thinks I can't quit....Oh well
