I'm fairly new to vaping, messed around with an aerotank, iclear 10s, and a nautilus but I wasn't quite getting that flavor I wanted. I recently purchased an igo L as I heard it was a great starting rda and iv messed around building coils and different wraps, some working and some not. Currently I have 30 gauge kanthal wrapped 8 or so times on folded silica giving me 2.4 ohms and it is probably the best I have done so far. I still think there's something I'm missing though. Any advise some experienced vapers can give me?

I want to reach that thick flavorful vape that iv been hearing so much about. My current build is definately cleaner tasting than on my clearomizers but the flavors still seem somewhat muted compared to what I've heard rda flavor being. I'm making sure to keep my air hole lined with my coil and the coil towards the wall. Is the vape I'm describing only possible at sub ohms?

Sorry, I'm wicking with 3mm silica doing a simple dual coil. Vaping this with a lavatube 2.5 usually around 10-11 watts

I like compressed coils over just wrapping the wick and I don't like silica at all. It has a weird taste to me and seems to mute my flavors. Have u tried cotton? Use organic cotton balls and boil them for awhile. If u get a weird taste from it u probably have too much in the coil (took me forever to figure this out). At first if u think u have enough cotton u probably have way too much.

Alright guys, so I picked up some supplies. Some organic cotton, 28g kanthal and a 1/16 drill bit. Been trying some different things with the wicking but i think iv found one that works pretty well. I wrapped a 10 wrap to get 1.5 ohms and compressed them perfectly tight and uniform. Coil glows from inside out and looks like a solid piece. I then put a bed of cotton under the coil covering just that half of the rda. I'm getting clouds and clean tasting vape! Anyone else use this bedding method?

Coil the wire around a drill bit or something similar. Then remove the coil, compress it together with tweezers and heat it it with a mini-torch or lighter. This will keep it in its compressed form. Then wick it with cotton after you have installed the coil. Use less cotton than you think you need, it should pull smoothly through the coil.

Yes I used the drill bit and then heated my coil until glowing and pinched with tweasers. I have what looks like a perfect compressed coil now but what I did different was instead of feeding the cotton through the coil, i have the coil sitting on a small bed of cotton. I was getting dry hits fairly quickly when feeding it through no matter how loose and little I made it. With the bed I'm getting CLOUDS and it wicks very well
