Hi :)
I want to start using rebuildable tanks (not ready to use drips yet),

I see few popular items on fasttech under $15, but I'm not sure which one is the best for a total newbie,
Would love to get your opinions!

The ones that I was looking at:
kraken genesis 2.5ml
cobra genesis 2.5
aga-t2 genesis 3.5
pulse-g 3.2
i-atty 2.5ml

Also, which wicks, wire and tools should I get ? (rather order everything from fasttech, but if their wicks and wires are cr*p of course I'll order somewhere else).

Any other tips/suggestions/heads up for a newbie would be highly appreciated!

Thanks :)

If you're looking for a genisis style RTA, the RSST is generally regarded as the best starter - very forgiving for beginners.

Gennies can be tricky to set up, though, and aren't the most portable (they tend to leak when not perfectly upright). There are other options (not drippers, per your note). Kayfun-style RTA's are very popular and easy to set up. In my experience, they give better flavour as well.

BUT, before you pull the trigger on anything you should do your research on things like Ohm's Law, battery safety, and rebuilding techniques. You might have done all that (forgive me if you have), but you mentioned being a noob twice.

Rebuilding takes you to the next level in vaping. It's a wonderful place, but requires you to be your own advocate (and safety officer, and technician). My :2c: is that you're better off to fully research the scene and then pull the trigger on a good tank (read: probably more than $15) that fits your (now known) needs and will allow you to really enjoy the process and experience.

Not trying to criticize - far from it. Just trying to get you to the good part of rebuilding, rather than have you potentially plunge into the valley of disillusionment.

"for a total newbie"... Jimi's short, sweet and accurate recommendation, combined with Papa's soft cautionary, "tip of the iceberg" post, points to the area of required knowledge, just below the water line of rebuildables.

Read, learn, practice, develop skills... and don't put your eye out. :2cool:

ThAt required knowledge link was freakin funny. I'm assuming the OP flys planes as I have a 24V charging setup plus he has a lipo charger connected to the deep cells. Actually was thinking it would be funny to have pretty much the same setup for Vaping. Power Vapist(think it was you that coined Vapist :) )
