Hello! Fairly new to vaping. I've decided to start rebuilding. I purchased all the stuff I need and just want to make sure the stuff I got is good and will all work together!

An ohms checker or a multimeter might come in handy. There are better batteries for low ohm builds. Not sure what your goals are, but if its sub ohm, you might want to look into the 30 amp Sony batteries.

A DMM or stand alone ohm checker is a MUST for rebuilding. Never fire a coil without knowing what it's value is. Well, if you're attached to your skin...

28 kanthal is good, I use 26 myself, but then I'm not building drippers, so those who do will have to advise you on that. Plenty of good videos on YouTube for instruction.

After you build the coil and put it in the attty BEFORE you fire it use either a multimeter or ohm checker to find out what the resistance is, use an ohm's law calculator, Ohm's Law Calculator, and be sure you do not exceed the amp rating of the battery.

Then have fun on your vaping road.

Pretty solid start. Good job. 28ga is great to learn rebuilding; not too soft, not too stiff. Nice that you got the Sentinel. I usually recommend telescopic mods like the Sent or the Private because they are nice for battery adjustment. Cheers

+1 on battery safety. Do the calculation to figure the amp draw from a specific build. Keep in mind 10A limit with the AW IMR batteries.

Thanks for all the tips! I did not know about all of the Ohm's Law. I did purchase an Ohm Reader when I purchased everything else. It's all supposed to come on Tuesday.

yes, it will.. Can't go wrong with Sony VTC5 in 18650 mech mods. LoL

It's good that you're asking questions and getting good answers. One other point is to check the resistance one more time with the cap on the Helios. That way if a coil is touching the inside of the cap you'll see it on the meter.

The 2000 mAh AW batteries have a 10 amp limit. I wouldn't go under 0.5 - 0.6 ohms in a dripper with them. The Sony VTC series at 30A go a lot lower.

Definetly look into getting a couple sony batts like previously said, i had a friend that built a sub ohm coil on hiw k100 with a random battery and it blew up in his hand. just be careful and check everything. I got my roommate into Vaping and set him up with the same set up and everything works great. Those sentinels are also good because you can get multiple types of batts in no problem. Also if you havnt already, check out RipTrippers on youtube, he has alot of great tutorials, reviews and advice on his channel. Good luck!
