Hi guys and girls,

After reading so much good info on the Reos I've decided to "sign up". But which one? I realise the Grand holds twice as much juice and the battery will last a bit longer but "pocketability" is quite important to me. I'm out and about quite a lot and already have to carry around a lot of .... and it all adds up. I currently get through just over 3ml of juice a day morning 'til bed so I'm thinking the Mini will at least last 'til I get home from work. I can keep juice and a battery at work anyway so realistically I'll rarely be away from supplies for more than a few hours.

Does the battery on a Mini last for 3ml? I currently vape around 1.3 ohm @ 8 watts. Does squonking become difficult when you get down to your last ml? I'm guessing the Mini vapes the same as a Grand? I've got a Nuppin en route and will probably order an RM2 as well as that also has great reviews. I assume these 2 are both suited to the Mini.

Also, is the Mini 2.1 the only one currently available? I know I need an LP but on Rob's site it seems there are Minis and Mini 2.1's

I also realise that it's most likely for my 1st Reo to be quickly followed by another so I guess whichever one I don't get now I can order next time.

Opinions from anyone with a Mini would be very welcome.

I have Mini's 18490 and OG Mini's 14500 and Grands. The pocketablity of the Grand is very good it's not as cumbersome as you might think. I'd say go for the Grand. Many people say "It's not as big as I thought it would be". I carry mine in top pocket all night long with no ill affects. It's good to go. But you can't go wrong with either of them. The Grand just provides more of everything you want in a mod. Battery and Joose.

I concur go for the grand first. You'll find you go through more juice with a Reo. for me a battery does not last the entire 3ml in a mini 2.1. the plane mini is slightly thinner and only takes 14500 batteries where the mini 2.1 takes 18490 batteries. the Grand is about the height and width of a business card and about as thick as a box pack of cigs.

The Grand is taller but isn't really much wider. Here's a picture I took this morning with a mini to the right of the Grand in the center. I got used to the size of the mini first so it takes a little getting used to the grasp in the Grand. To do it over, I may have done it differently.

The mini will certainly get the job done for you. I don't see any difference in flavor. Battery life on an 18490 should last you most of the day but probably not all day if you have good batteries so always carry a spare. I tend to leave for work with three mods and have a battery charger in my office. I do that more for flavor change though.

You can't go wrong with either. :)

I recommend the Grand, because i find that the battery is perfectly matched to the juice bottle, they run out at the same time.

If you vape 6ml during a work day (i used to, then i got greedy), it's a dead easy choice. Vaping during work breaks can be a fraught exercise - vape like hell for 10 minutes and then back you go!

Bigger batteries and bigger bottles are a real ally at work.

Mini's look cool, and I may eventually get one...BUT
- the Grand is surprisingly small...tall as a credit card, but not that wide.
- squonking DOES get a little harder at the bottom of the bottle
- you didn't say what you're using to get your 1.3 ohm/8 watt vape - but you MIGHT shift a little lower and go through more juice...I know when I got my REO, I was usually in that same range, but now I build at more like 0.7-0.9 ohms. Basically, I'm saying you might not get through a day with a mini bottle...

Thanks all for your replies. I guess it'll be a Grand then. I would generally choose the bigger version of anything I buy but was just concerned with fitting in pockets. My daily attire for best part of the year is T-shirt and shorts and I need to carry 2 phones, a wallet, a bunch of keys and a Mod. I'm sure the Grand will be fine, if not I'll just have to leave the phones and keys at home and not bother going to work!

Another +1 on the Grand. I have two grands and they really are tiny for an 18650 mod, the space inside the Reo is used up very efficiently imo. I have small hands for a guy, and the mod pretty much disappears when I hold it (besides the atty, that is).

The extra juice and battery capacity will be nice to have, and since I've started using Reos, my juice consumption has certainly gone up (probably because I can't put them down LOL).

It maybe depends to an extent on your vaping style. If you want to go sub ohm the Grand is definitely the one to go for. Personally I coil at about 1.3 ohms and I actually prefer the mini - it is that bit smaller and more pocketable and I just like the feel of it in my hand :) and at that level it would see you through the best part of 3ml.

I carry the Grand in a phone case/holster on my belt. Leave the most irritating phone at home instead!

I will always jump on threads like this to add my opinion, because I am the minority who prefers the mini. I got a mini first, and the size, for me, is perfect. Bought a grand, and sold it immediately because it felt too big. Then, as more 22mm BF attys became available, I decided to try the grand again, both for the battery life and higher amp limit- I wanted to explore lower ohm builds. I did eventually get used to the grand, but have since sold it. I still have my mini, and will never get rid of it. Now- I have tiny girl hands, so that makes a difference. I like .4-.6ohm builds and that does make the 18490s less than ideal. But if you are running coils over 1ohm, you will totally get 3 mls of juice on one battery, no problem. As far as pocket-ability, I don't think there's much difference between the two. The mini is just more comfortable for me, and I have an atty that fits well on it (Nuppin), and can give a satisfying vape at slightly higher ohms.
Squonking gets a little harder the less juice you have, but I personally feel like that's less of an issue with the mini.
The mini 2.1 is the newest version- it will have sub-ohm contacts and the indestructible adjustable 510. Definitely get an LP in whatever you decide (you;ll need it for the Nuppin)
The thing is, no matter which one you get first, you will be getting another one. So, maybe go with the grand first, then if you get a mini, it will feel so amazingly small and pocketable, and you'll have the best of both!

Id go with the Grand. I keep mine in a Husky pouch from Home Depot while I'm at work. I have about a 45 minute commute each way and an hour for lunch (no smoking or vaping on property - even in your vehicle) and I'll typically use 1 battery a day - sometimes 2 and will go through about 4ml of juice (vape like hell over lunch - lol). I have very small hands (wore a size small nitrile glove at my last job), and the Grand fits nicely. I've currently got a 28g 1.1 ohm coil in my RM2 at the moment. Perfect for me.

A grand would be a great all around choice. Big battery, big bottle of juice, and a big atty. You can sub-ohm or high-ohm or middle-ohm.

In my case, I love the size of the mini and plan on getting more of them. The only thing I use 18650's for is in a SMPL + Derringer. The new AW 18490's last me 2 bottles at .8 ohms and are very predictable. I don't know if I ever will pick up a grand unless it is at a super low price. Would rather save for another mini :)
