First REO need advice

^The o-ring is for the catchcup, but not to seal it. It's to provide flexibility in tightening the atty so the airhole is facing up when you vape.

You want the air hole of the RM2 to be away from your....facing outward. So....the o-ring is just in case you need it in order to position the airhole. It goes around the connector. I don't usually need an o-ring to get the airhole of the atty positioned where I want it...you may or may not. It's just in case.

Had it all set up ready to go and broke my damn era.

I couldn't get the o ring to compress enough to make a connection... was tightening it with the cap off by the posts and the outer post snapped clean off

Argggg... im so ####### ......... was psyched to use this tommorrow at work.... now im out of a $40 rba before I could even use it.

I would suggest the RM2. In the mean time, a factory atty or carto will work great on your REO. Nice looking rig DEEz. Congrats and welcome

Oh, never tighten an atty by the posts Also note that an oring isn't required in the cup, it's a preference thing. Just never try to tighten it down hard without one or you risk damaging the gasket in the cup and I hear that'll short your mod.

Drilled out the remaining peg left in the ERA base and pulled out the post from an AGA-T I had laying around, had to chuck the post up in a drill and turn down the diameter a bit and also the peg end to fit the hole in the ERA base, then pressed her home.
Not good as new but fully functional now, WOOT!

I was told by the seller to use the oring to prevent any leaking but I left it out and it seems fine sofar.

A quick question.... do reo users typically use button top or flat top bats?
I started with a flat but really had to cram the button down to get it to fire, with a button top its much better but dont want any accidental firing with a button top if its not designed for it.

Also about what ohms would you think 28g kanthal wrapped on a 16g needle would be? 7 wraps...
my provari read it low still.

AW IMRs are the recommended batteries and they are button tops. I tried a flat top one a while back and didn't care for pushing the button further. Button tops are best IMO.

As far as wraps, some of the guys will be along to help with that. I don't use 28g. We're also building a thread about microcoil specs you may want to check.

Seems like my reo is firing kinda finicky. .. sometime I get a good hit, somettimes its weak, sometimes it doesnt fire and I have to really cram the button down.

Using aw 18650 button tops... they are about a year old, I have new bats on order.

The reo I got used... 28g micro at .9 ohm and cotton wick.


Not sure what to do, probablly tear it down n try cleaning everything really well and file and nolax the botton contact, any other ideas?

I'd do a quick file and noalox on the firing pin. Sounds like that might be the issue, and quick, easy fix.
