I just ordered what will be my first Reo Mini 2.1, Question....

I ordered a Reomizer atty for it but will also like to try some cartos with it. Being that this is not a variable voltage setup, will I need a kick to control it or can I run a LR cartomizer without a kick ?

I would recommend trying a Cisco LR 1.5 or 1.8 atty.
Should give you plenty of "kick" without buying a kick!

A good 1.8 ohm carto should work nicely on it. I'm a VV Grand person, will periodically toss a 2.5 ohm carto on if I want a true no-fuss/no-muss vape. At least the cartos I use are pretty forgiving when I squonk, will just suck up the eliquid nicely. When using a carto I get to pay absolutely zero attention to the catch cup -- convenient at times :)

When I use a carto I will do a standard top prime of it, get the filler wet before letting the feed system do its thing.

Lots of great options here I see. The super shorty intrigues me because I'll be using the Mini 2.1 as a shirt pocket carry during work and this looks like it will not protrude high up out of my pocket. This one will be on my list to try. The Cisco 306 looks like another viable option also. I appreciate the help here and it definitely gives me the right options to put me on the right track.

Now if my new Mini 2.1 would only make it's way into my mailbox!

Welcome, Cigzag :) Be aware that LR cartos/attys are fine on it if you use the recommended AW IMR batteries. Many protected batteries don't play well with LR's, but the AW's handle them easily. It may sound odd, but those particular batteries are recommended for good reason, and you won't get the full potential from the REO without them.

Good information to know and fortunately for me AW IMR batteries are the only brand I own... luck of the draw I guess :)

Congratulations and welcome.

All good recommendations. Also, be aware that some of the 306 drip tips can come off while being carried in pockets, bags, or purses. Best starter DT, for 306, is the clear Cherry Vape Canon. You will be able to see the juice level while you are fine tuning squonking.

DH travels out of town to work via airlines twice weekly. All last year he used cartos on REO Mini, in shirt pocket or carry-on, and never had a leaking incidents no matter the amount of juice in bottle. He did have a few minor leaks, with change of altitude, and a few other times using attys.

The clear, plastic cartos are pretty cool looking but as said above they are quite fragile and you will have a tube come off at some point while carrying it in your pocket. Sometimes that doesn't break the wires to coils but sometimes it does. Also you will not be able to pull Mini out of pocket using atty if you use the clearos.

The shorty cartos take "stealth" to the extreme.
