nerak and JC Okie suggested that I come on over to the "real" Reo Forum, is this the place?

I was looking for a US mod (first quality mod) and discovered Reosmods. Since the other mods that I've been wanting wern't available I figured the Reo might full the gap of a great vape on the go with no fuss. I love dripping into my IGO-L&S so I went with it.

My first Reo was delivered Friday morning, mini 2.1 with a Reomizer2. I had some doubts and disappointments at first, mainly due to that after the purchase two Hybrids that I've been stalking became available and that I'm pretty good at making a wick and coil on a Genisis and still figuring out these micro coils. First coil was a 1ohm 15 wrap of 28AWG Kanthal and it just kept burning up the cotton, now I'm running the coil at 1.3 ohms 20wraps of 28 Awg Kanthal and it is vaping awesome. After having it for a few days it has proven itself to be a great on the go vape for me, The carto/pro tanks and Vamo that normally sit in the car has not needed the battery charged since I've recieved the Reo (normally I have to put a fresh battery in it every day). Here's are some picks.

Yup, this is the place! Congrats on your new Reo. :)

I'm sure there will be a couple of the rebuildable gurus along shortly to talk about your two different coil builds. I only used 28 once and wasn't real thrilled with it. All I really know is what works for me and I use 32g wrapped on a heavy paperclip leg. I've got some 30g on the way just to see if I like it better than the 32.

Vape on!

Bro, congrats and welcome. Your coil looks awesome. You got it down. I'm thinking I'm gonna learn some stuff from you :)

Question - is your airhole really pointing to the side like top pic? Is your coil really pointing up (down) like bottom pic? If so, you got some airhole alignment issues

Sweet looking REO too.

Welcome to REOville, ForeverTwoWheels! The longer you own your REO, the more its use, maintenance and occasional cleaning, become 2nd nature. Same with the RM2 coils/wicks. In a month it'll just "be there" requiring little to no attention at all, and the vape is one of the best around. I gave up 2 wheelers before I quit smoking, but I would have loved having a REO to ride with me! :)

Pics were taken at different times, the air hole is in front of the coil.

Wow, Ferever 2 Wheels.

That coil, OMG, a work of art. Question, what did you use as a mold/guide to wrap it?

Seems like a lot of folks from around KC,Mo. I grad'ed. from Southwest High in '58, in N.M. now, love my mountains away from town.

Beautiful rig ya got there.

Using a dropper needle for a guide.

Class of 97 at Belton. I play down in the Ozarks and up in the Black Hills most of the time, have some family that live in the Rockies in CO and the Little Big Horn Mountians in WY. Beautiful land but, I like the longer riding season here.

If it is drying out so quickly I have a few thoughts....one: it could be that you're not getting enough juice to it...not pressing the bottle long enough (squonk). And two: there may not be enough room inside the coil for the cotton to wick properly. Perhaps use a smidge less cotton. I don't use cotton, myself, so I could be way off. But there are many that do and I'm sure they will correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

This is my first venture with cotton. I use silica on the sub ohm drippers at home but, didn't think I'd be able to pull it through a micro coil and I'm shooting for a longer battery life while out and about.

Thanks for the compliments.

Is it normal to squoink or how ever it's spelled once per drag. I burned up the cotton again on my way into the office with 2-3 drags per squirt. Replaced the cotton and have been doing a squionk per drag and stopping when it starts to pop.

When learning the amount of pressure on the bottle and the length of the squonk on a RM2 it really helps to pull off the drip tip and look inside. You will only need to do that a couple times when squeezing the bottle to see how much juice is feeding into the RM2. Then when you squonk you will know how long and how much pressure to use.

It will vary as the juice in the bottle gets lower. It will all become second nature with a little time.

The juice that is squonked into the RM2 will not fill the cup. It will go back down into the bottle when you stop squonking. So take that into consideration also when you are squonking. I tend to hole the pressure on the bottle for a second to let some of the juice soak into the cotton.

Cotton is all I use. The taste is superb!
