If you are using cotton then use less than you initially think. It ought to wick very fast to avoid dry hits.

Raising or lowering the coil has no effect on dry hits; in relation to the airhole, it adjusts only the throat hit and flavour. Dry hits are always caused by bad wicking and in new users that's typically by overstuffing the coil with cotton.

Interesting because I was having problems a while back with having dry hits and everyone told me to lower my coil which coincidentally solved my problem.

The reason i lower the coil in HRH's RM2s is because she absolutely hates throat hit, but refuses to lower her nicotine to achieve it. So i make her coils touching the deck of the atty, or push them there after.

Perhaps your lowering of the coil made your wick have a better contact with the juice and the atty. It allows shorter wicks too and with an RM2 you cannot short to the deck.

Probably because your squonk was not getting to the coil and saturating it. higher up would require a longer squonk time and thus a longer drain time as well.

Another quick tip (one I learned the hard way)... don't overtighten the 6ml bottle, it can cause air to bypass the o-ring in the tube/cap assembly... no bueno!

Also when squonking use longer steady pressure instead quick hard squeezes. Squeezing harder won't make it go faster.

Swap "sqonking" for a word of your choice.

I have had my 1st reo about a week and I just learned the "blind squonk" technique It works really well. ...

I usually get in trouble when I try, so I'll just cut to the chase "don't suck too hard or you'll get a mouth full of juice"

Basically it's for when you cannot see or when using a standard carto or atty. You suck in through the drip tip while squonking (without pressing the fire button). When you hear and feel a slight gurgle stop sucking and squonking( see I always get in trouble).

with an RBA turn the air hole so it down during the blind squonk and the turn it back up to fire and hit.

Try raising the coil so it is just above your airhole on your atty cap. I find this gives my the best hits. Your next learning curve will involve the following word combos: coil up , coil down, airhole up, airhole down. Trigger up, trigger down...and all the variations and combinations of these words...REO ON Brah!
