First review-- 5 Gourmet Vapor flavors

Hi all. This is the first of many (if my funds comply) reviews I will be posting here. I feel motivated to write this because as a relatively new vaper (a year) I am still totally in the dark about a lot of the flavors out there. Sure, we have guides on VG v. PG, nicotine concentration, etc. But a lot of the time, I just want to know which juices taste good!

In any case, Gourmet Vapor recently had a 50% off deal so I decided to try it out. I order five flavors (I love how e-liquid merchants have to change the names of their products to avoid copyright infringement) (Also, all juices are 80/20 PG/VG): Andys Mint 12 mg, Maiden Coffee 12 mg, Marlburro Red 18 mg, Orange Vanilla 12 mg, and Cinnamon Coffee 18 mg.

Orange Vanilla-- OK, first is the worst. I won't beat around the bush. This liquid is really quite difficult to stomach. Whatever citric acid or whatever they put in it, they should take it out. The citrusy flavor is so strong as to be almost sour, but not in an enjoyable, Sour Patch Kid way. The feeling of vaping this is akin to inhaling deeply from a brand new orange-flavored car air freshener. So if you're down with that, certainly buy this. I, on the other hand, am not down with that, so I would not recommend this juice. The vanilla flavor is almost totally absent. And the vapor smells almost rancid. (Disclaimer: this is one of the customer-made creations they sell on the site, so take that for what it's worth. The same company sells it and takes most of the profit, though, so there's that.)

Marlburro Red-- This one is very weird. The first couple of times I vaped it I hated it. If you give it a bit, though, it grows on you a little. Only a little, though. The aftertaste is not enjoyable at all, and just as with the Orange Vanilla, the vapor has a strange smell to it. I'd rate this one higher than the Orange Vanilla, but then again if you set the bar low enough everyone's a winner.

Maiden Coffee-- This juice smells really good. I mean, the juice itself does before you vape it. When you eventually stop huffing the dark liquid and drip it, I think you'll find it's a bit of a disappointment. While it is by no means an offensive flavor at all, it tastes more like a Tootsie Roll than anything else. Although if you're into that this could definitely be a nice all day vape. And I had it with a cup of coffee this morning and it went very well with it. I drink my coffee black, though, and so I didn't much like this juice's sweetness. My search for the best black coffee e-juice continues! (If you have any suggestions, drop me a PM!)

Andys Mint-- Another strange flavor here. I could tell Gourmet Vapor was really going for the chocolate mint taste here (that seems obvious and self-explanatory, but I think it's worth mentioning in light of the other hit-or-miss-but-pretty-much-just-miss flavors). The juice isn't full bodied enough, though. It's too sharp to be believable as a real chocolate mint thing, you know? I'm not sure if I'm speaking clearly. This is definitely my favorite flavor out of the bunch, though. It is mostly a real success, and I would make this an all-day vape definitely.

Cinnamon Coffee-- Not really any cinnamon, not really any coffee. Big disappointment here because my two favorite flavors are cinnamon and coffee. I'm not sure what happened, but the result of cinnamon + coffee pretty much = weak cotton candy. The juice smells nice though.

So that's that. Not to be a downer, but I was largely disappointed with this liquid haul. I liked the (pretty weakly flavored) juices that shipped with my two eGos (got them yesterday, yahooooo) from Liberty Flights much more.

Comments? Questions? If anyone needs anymore information from me, I'm happy to post it.

Stay vaping!

I just got my first flavors from Gourmet Vapors. I let them set a couple of days and decided that I couldn't wait any longer to try some of them. One of the flavors that I had "custom made" that contained "orange". Ewwwww! I decided that they had peeled an orange and put the wrong part of the orange in the mix, i.e. the rind. I didn't think that I would ever get that flavor out of the cartridge! The next evening, I shook the bottle again, and dripped some. Amazing! The orange rind taste was gone. Other flavors were beginning to peek out of the mixture. I'm letting it steep some more. (Shaking the bottle before using it for the first time definitely helps.) I'm also a newbie to vaping. There are some flavors that I just can't taste yet. But it's coming around.

I heard about the 1/2 price sale and ordered a few flavors as well. Not wishing to take much of a chance on exotic mixes, I stuck with simple Vanilla, Butterfinger, and created one myself. Not expecting much I tried them all as soon as they arrived.....and was I surprised. It's the best I've had; incredibly good.

Taste preferences are as varied as people, but my experience with Gourmet Vapor was OUTSTANDING
