My first ever coil with ribbon wire , took about 2 minutes , took a little piece of cotton , hand wrapped 4 coils around end , ohms at 0.83 , stuck it in my T-3 , and this thing hits like a champ , it's like a fog machine . I love ribbon wire , I'll have to try it on my cobra with wire mess next I bet it will work awesome . Any one have any suggestions on how to use stainless steal wire , I bought it on ebay it is the same size as wire wick so it fits in the whole but I seem to have wicking issues , looked on line but didn't find much .
