Just out of curiosity what would be your favorite atomizer on a screwdriver @3.7v

510
401
901
801(really need higher voltage for better vaping) Thinking of making a collar to extend the battery compartment of the screwdriver to handle 2 3.v cr2's 800mAh for 6v vaping with the 801

Someone has to say it. This is soooo wrong! Copy someone elses idea and offer it for sale with flashing lights and all. Nice job on the mod but really don't you feel any shame in offering this for sale to the public. I mean selling a few no problem. I just have a problem piggy backing someone elses product. All you had to do was find a different body instead of stepping on someone elses research and development. Oooohhhh I love flashing lights, ridiculous. You should review the law before you proceed much further.

I agree with you Aspen - as a personal mod and few sales to mates - OK - but as a commercial offering it really seems like you're ripping off someone else's intellectual property - ethically so, at least...

i kinda' agree, and i believe i understand what you're getting at but at the same time you have to take into consideration that Trog's design incorporates someone else's original design as well. he doesn't make the battery housing, only modifies it. the flashlight itself is available on the open market.
what you say about *the law* would apply to him as well, would it not?

now, if Cisco would also extend an offer to upgrade original SD's, that would simply be modding a mod, would it not?

Cisco did not reinvent the flashlight mod...he took an already existing mod and made it to his liking. many liked what he had done and inquired about purchasing one for themselves.

the mod looks similar...yes.....what are the apparent visible differences.

button placement, nylon bushing with an led, different adapters for different atomizers

LOL...you're right...we should  flame the people selling nicosticks and box mods too, in swap...yeah. Um, the screwdriver is made out of a flashlight made by somebody else...so maybe we should just be upset that anybody is selling something that is made out of an existing product.

It's not like Cisco started this thread did so trying to sell this (and even if Cisco did, oh well)! Cisco wanted to show everybody what they did. Credit was given for ideas (like bushings thought up by others, etc). People pm'ed Cisco begging for a sale. If somebody offered you money for something you made, would you take it? Come on now. There is nothing wrong with people selling something that they've made. Jealous you didn't think up the LED behind a bushing idea yourself? You also have to think, by starting this thread, at least a dozen of us will copy it! Make our own! I think it was fantastic of Cisco to share pics and info on how it was done.

LOVE THE MOD :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

I'm VERY jealous! Jealous of all of you for being able to do this whether from a flashlight, a box, or what have you. But keep it up, it just might get me to try it!

This is a great group of people sharing ideas. I hope the ideas and encouragement keep coming!

Oh Boy!!!

My initial post was only to show off my mod. I took the most popular mod by Trog and also Screamers acyclic bushing idea and made my own and I gave them both credit.

Because of the overwhelming response and the fact that I am already placing a large order to make a bunch more for friends I thought it would be a good idea to make a few more for other people. I am not selling these commercially nor am I opening up a web site to sell them. But If someone likes my mod why wouldn't I make one for them?

With no dis-respect to Trog he doesn't own the sole rights to mod the romisen rc-a8 nor does he own the sole rights to sell them. I should read the law? The original rc-a8 is already someone elses intellectual property.

The only thing similar about Trogs mod and my mod is milling off the flashlight head, other then that everything is different. It's not like I am taking Trog's screwdriver and re-modding it and then re-selling it. If I do sell my mod I will call it nothing, its just a mod. IMO Trog owns the "Screwdriver" trademark and I would not take that from him.

Sorry If anyone feels that I crossed the line, It wasn't my intention

Cisco you are totally right. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Sorry if I caused any grief but on the other hand at least there was food for thought and the topic was exposed. All in all things appear to be looking up.

That was sweet of you aspen!

I agree !!

Some of us can´t afford 99.99 to buy a screwdriver, so seeing what others can do inspires us to have a go. Surely that´s what this forum is for....to help, inspire, swap ideas, etc.

Good work Cisco:thumb:
