Someone suggested I do this before ordering to get professional opinions about my introduction to vaping! Here it is:

joyetech eGo-C Starter Kit
joyetech eGo-C 1000mAh USB Pass-Though OR eGo Twist 900mAh
5 x Vision eGo LR 2.0 1.6ml
Sample Pack: Marlboro, USA TAB, Flu Cured, Mint, Root Beer, Coffee, Cappuccino, Blueberry, Waffle and Apple Cake.

Since I'm working all day on the computer, I don't really mind being plugged in, but I've been seeing a lot of people recommending the Twist so I'm wondering how's the battery life? Do you need to charge it more than once a day if you're a heavy vaper? Thanks in advance :)

I am on my first week of vaping. I bought 2 eGo Twist 1000mah's. So far I haven't actually managed to drain the battery to the point of losing vaping power. I vape about 2-3mL a day and when I am at work I have two rebuildable stardusts(AKA clearomizers) with two separate flavors. I will usually plug one battery in while at work, then about 1-2 hours later it will be done and I will throw the other battery on. It works pretty well for me and I know if I go out after work, I won't be worrying about battery life. Plus I really like the VV aspect of the twist. I didn't want to drop the money on an expensive mod but I also didn't want to be stuck with a regular eGo that wouldn't allow me to try out a variety of different atomizers/cartomizers.

So I would definitely recommend ego twist 1000mah's but I am not a fan of regular atomizers. I like having the capacity that tanks provide. I can't say I am too crazy about my rebuildable stardusts(AKA clearomizers). I just ordered a LR 306 Cisco atomizer for direct dripping but that will pretty much only see use at my desk at work. I have heard great things about Vivi Nova's and they will probably replace my clearomizers in the coming weeks.

A link to the vendor website would make it easier to make a more accurate accessment.

Basically, you need at minimum 2 batteries. You will need one battery available while the other one is charging, and you should always have a backup battery in case one battery dies unexpectedly.

It's not clear to me whether the batteries that you listed are separate, included in the kit, if the USB Pass-Through is in the kit or an extra, etc. A link would have made this more clear. Genuine Joytech means you can't go very wrong with any of those. Whatever you choose, just be sure at least one charger is included.

The mah rating gives you an estimate on how long you can expect a battery to be used between charges. 100 mahs is equal to 1 hour on average. So 900 mahs = 9 hours. So, figure the math to the hours awake that you will be vaping. The Twist, being as it is variable voltage and uses a boost circuit to increase voltage, will lose battery life more quickly than an regular eGo battery because the boost circuit will necessarily draw more current.

i really don't like clearomizers...that's the only issue i see with your setup.

the twist is basically just a very low end VV device, if you must have VV and are at the computer all day, i'd recommend the ego-VV passthrough over at ljesmokes.com before the twist.

the twist will die in about 6 hours for a moderate to heavy vaper at max voltage, however, since you ordered 2 ohm clearos, you'd probably get about 8 as a moderate to heavy vaper pushing ~4 volts.

personally, i recommend noobs grab standard fixed-voltage devices with low resistance cartomizers, as it's just outright easier to use and cartos outright perform better than clearomizers...but it's more about user preference
